How bout James Jones?

James Jones just got waived by Miami. It was pretty clear it was for salary cap relief since the rest of his contract was partially guaranteed money with team options every year.

Either way, the guy can play. He can shoot, and he's long enough to play team D. I personally think he's an upgrade over both Tony and Marquis. If we could get him for cheap, say part of the MLE, then use the rest of it to sign a PF like Hakim Warrick.
Then trade sheed for Anthony Morrow and Turiaf and we're set

Rondo - Tony - Bradley
Ray - Morrow
Pierce - JJones
KG - Warrick - Harangody
Turiaf - BBD - Perk

For a minimum contract, yes.

For more than the minimum? He is pretty far down the fall back list.

He was disappointing in Miami, but can shoot.....minimum $$$ is a better investment than more on Gomes or Finley

I don't know. The guy averaged about 5 points and 2 rebounds this season ... seems like their must be a better player available on the cheap.
