The main reason to not take Beasley is that it would allow the Heat to sign 3 Max players and they cant do it without losing his contract. We should do what we can to prevent that from happening.

Exactly. The euphoria of people down here at the though of this possibly happening is enough to make me want to puke. I was a beasley fan, but the guy mentally just isn't there yet. He plays zero defense and can only affect the game with the ball in his hands. We'd just be doing the heat a favor by taking beasley off their hands.

This blog got some smart people. But you should always explore your options, and eliminate the bad ones. Michael to the Celtics is a bad one.

Someone is going to get Beasley for nothing. It's bout to happen so we might as well utilize Sheed's contract to get some talent. Every young player has his pros and cons. Rondo was once looked at as a quiet knucklehead that can't hit free throws or and open jumper. Now we argue he's the best PG in the league. I could be the best PG in the league if the Big 3 were pushing me and I could get a ring(maybe not...okay. Noway in hell)

Anyways, the point is is that Beasley was asked to be no2 man in Miami. That team lived and died with Wade. When Wade was hitting everything, the team wins. When Wade is getting triple teamed and not getting calls, they lose. Now give the ball to a future great ROLE PLAYER and say be my Robin? No. Not today. The guy would fit perfect into our system. And he's not a richman's BBD, b/c he can shoot and catch oops from Rondo. Big Baby might have 5 dunks for the year.

Lemme also add in the added bonus of Beasley being a lefty. That puts another dimension into our offense forcing the defense to guard the ball differently.
Can't stop, Rondo!

I like your point and pretty much agree completely with it. Well done my friend. Well done

Looks more and more to me like Beasley will go to another team (CLE, TOR being the most likely candidates) as part of a S&T.

yea KG might motivate him, but it's just as likely that Rondo throws passes that keep hitting him in the face and then gives him dirty looks, and he ends up sitting on the bench like OBryant and Shelden.

I think Beasly has a little more potential than POB and Shelden though.

Yeah, many will call me homers, but with the right motivation, I believe Beasley definitely has All-Star potential.

Yeah. It's a rare opportunity to buy low on a potential star. Miami will move him somewhere; I'd rather be the one to pick him up for pennies on the dollar. And it makes worlds more sense than the annual summer pining to reunite the worst Celtics team in history.

that might be the biggest reason why no team wants to take him, because honestly, he''s got a lot of potential for a great price. I think you are correct though, no team wants to let miami put together a super team.

I don't have strong feelings either way on Beasley, but I'm leaning toward, "Why not?" His listed height is 6-10, and we could certainly use that type of height, and this season he averaged nearly 15 points and 6.5 rebounds a game despite (depending on whom you ask) "not really trying" and/or "having too much pressure." Well, he's not likely to face a ton of pressure in Boston, especially if Paul and Ray return, and I can't imagine the C's letting him get away with being lazy. And for only $4.9M? Seems like a reasonable risk to many, especially when we just paid Scal, what, $3.5M to be a cheerleader?

Paper doesn't win titles. Never liked Bosh, not enough basketballs for Wade and The King.

Not worried about Miami at all.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

So, we shouldn't possibly make our own future a little brighter to spite another team? That's just not a good business decision.

What has he shown?

The biggest thing he has shown that I can remember, is playing so small in the playoffs.

If he is a throw in on a bigger trade, yes.

But at this point, I wouldn't give up value for him.  (including Wallace's contract, it has more value)
