Lebron?

Seriously, would anyone beat this team?

Not that it will ever happen but, I suspect they would have trouble stopping teams and scoring in crunch time.

I'd love if Dallas somehow worked out a S & T for James.  It seems highly unlikely (though Broussard just talked about it on ESPN).  However, that would put him in the West (making Kobe's road tougher) and I'm still not sure they'd be good enough to win it all (with Kidd's age and Nowitzki's softness).

I think Dallas would run riot throughout the NBA next season with LeBron. 70+ win team that wins the Title.

Kidd + LeBron + Dirk + Haywood is an incredible core to a team.

The additional quality in depth they have with Shawn Marion, Rodrigue Beaubois and Jason Terry.

----------------------------------------------

I am assuming the package is Butler + Dampier for LeBron and a role player (Moon? Parker?). Or it could be Butler + Stevenson + Beaubois, or Damp + Stevenson + Beaubois. I'd rather they keep Beaubois because I think he's the best player out of the three of them (Damp, Butler, Beaubois) but either way the Mavs will likely keep at least one of them and have a quality role player there.

-----------------------------------------------

I'd love to see the Mavs sign LeBron too. It would be great to see Kidd + Dirk get to finish out their careers with a legitimate superstar alongside them. Especially a wing who can score and create like a LeBron James (or to a lesser degree Joe Johnson).

I'd take my chances with this team beatin eboth the Bulls and/or a Dwade/Boozer team in Miami.

BMiller / Perkins
KG / Baby / Harangody
Pierce / Gomes ( ? )
Ray / TAllen
Rondo / Nate Robinson / Bradley

That team's lacking a sharpshooter. If Bron goes to Chicago I'd be surprised if Deng wasn't traded.

When Thibs asks them to play defense, they'll just stare at him with that dumbfounded look (as he busts out tapes of the Celtics).

They will be good (if this all comes together) but paper giants don't always win titles...

So True. And I wonder how Chris Bosh would handle being the 3rd (or 4th) option, and his rebounding total going down with Joakim onboard.

I love Chris Bosh as a player, but still........the Defense, man..

Unstoppable in that scenario

Disagree about Nowitzki being soft. Would like to see Lebron go to Dallas, though. Makes good sense for Lebron to do a sign and trade and Cleveland should get back Beaubois. Small reward, but better than nothing.

That was totally Rasho's fault.

Can't disagree with you there...I just wonder how in the world did Rasho (the Center) end up on Paul - all the way out near the 3pt line?

In Chris Boshs' defense, though - he's not a shabby defender, I suppose....but he has never been known as a lock-down defender.

If he does in fact go to CHI, I can see him getting better under Thibs, though..him and Noah would form a better than decent frontline - IF Bosh gets better defensively.

Not just that, but if they don't win the title in year one LeBron will storm into the GM's office and demand that the Bulls make some moves to surround him with better players.

1. I thought long and hard and couldn't name Toronto's starting SF off the top of my head. EDIT: And then i realized it was Hedo.
2. He's not a lock down defender but I agree that with Tibs he could be come solid.
3. Their ability to rebound, 2 10+ on the front line and if they get Bron and don't give up Deng that's two 7+ on the wing, will make them disgusting on the break.
4. 3 didn't have anything to do with what we're talking about , I just thought of it.

Luol Deng is only 25 but has a bad contract and a history of injuries.  How many people would consider sending Ray Allen in a sign-and-trade to that team for Deng?
