I think this kid shouldn't be dismissed out of hand so cavalierly. He was as high as the low 40s on many mock drafts. As we all know this was a very deep draft. If players like Mikhail Torrance aren't even given a take, there is potential value in even undrafted players this year.
In 2006, a power forward out of LaTech had some pretty decent rebound numbers. Actually, he led the nation, but he was from LaTech and wasn't your prototypical PF (undersized) and was given no respect and he was drafted in the 40s. I was screaming at the TV for the Cs to have a chance to grab him.
No luck! Paul Milsap was drafted by someone else, and the rest as they say is history.
As so many on this board have pointed out, rebounding is probably the skill that translates best to the pros. This guy is an excellent defensive rebounder with some toughness and upside. I believe from his combine interview, he swam, then played soccer and didn't play hoop til he was about 15-16.
I think he has a shot with a team that just lost it's starting center, perhaps for most of next season and it's backup forever. Good Luck, Art!!!!
