This Belarusian 6-11 center could be another steal by Danny Ainge. How come a guy with this kind of production isn't drafted? He's now used to American basketball and culture (four years at Radford) and we'll really need size and rebounding without Sheed and probably Perk. A guy that averages 21 pts, 13 rebs and 2 blks at the college level is AT LEAST a better project than Semih Erden, right?
I'll follow this guy closely at Orlando.

Stats

He's now used to American basketball and culture (two years at Radford) and we'll really need size and rebounding without Sheed and probably Perk. He played 4 years at Radford, in the weak, undersized and therefore misnamed Big South conference.  I think he'll be able to rebound in the NBA, but the rest of his numbers are unlikely to translate to the NBA.
2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

That's right, 4 years (edited). But even if he'd only rebound at NBA level he'd still be a big body in the paint, right? Remember, we have to contain Dwight Howard and Bynum in order to get a championship. And this guy's probably a better 12th man than Erden.

On the optimistic side, though he played in a weak conference, he put up 23 and 14 against Cole Aldrich and Kansas and another 21 and 13 against Duke...

Looks like maybe he at least is competitive and works hard.

I've only looked at his picture and read his stats and his height/weight, but just based on that I would much rather see him on the floor than Shelden Williams.

don't know the league, but the college was centenary (sp).  i don't believe it's around any longer.

  • You know my methods, Watson.
Ah yes...  It's that time of year again when undrafted free-agent scrubs become can't-live-without summertime future Hall-Of-Famers...

We're wondering how this kid is going to replace 'Sheed.  I'm wondering if he'll even make an NBA roster...funny.

Parakhouski will be lucky to make an NBA roster next season...this is like asking if Robert Swift could be our answer for big man of the future.

  Wasn't Parrish a top 3 draft pick?

I mentioned in the other thread I was excited to see him on the Summer league roster.

He's a good rebounder with an excellent motor with size. Dunno what else you could ask for.

He's worth the look, at least.

no one is saying he'l be a HOF so i think you're rather pompous post is warranted. all i read is people saying he'l be better than shelden and erden.

No kidding.  A simple discussion of who is on the summer league roster and whether they might be any good is worthy of mockery?  We love the Celtics, and we talk about anything Celtics related in here.  The fact that we're talking about something doesn't mean we're blowing it out of proportion.  Plus the topic of discussion is clearly marked in the link, so if trolls think the topic is a waste of time, they can not join the discussion.
