What do people think about bringing in Shaun Livingston as a backup pg option?  I know there are obviously concerns about his knee but he put together a series of impressive games last year on the Wizards.

He's long, athletic, can makes his ft's.  I think he's a decent option.  Thoughts?

I always loved Livingston but he isnt really a guy that can score the basketball.  But if we are looking for a pure PG to backup rondo I would be all for Liv

Realistically, we've got one more year to make some noise.  Not inclined to gamble on guys with serious injury problems like Livingston (or T-Mac).  Want guys who will be dependable.  Rondo will be playing 38 - 40 minutes a game anyway; we really just need someone like Earl Watson to fill in for ten or twelve minutes a night.

I really like Livingston's talent. If he can be had cheap, I am all for it. I'm not sure it is in his best interest to be 12-15 mpg role player though.

What are you guys obsession with young injured players. ( I guess someone might ask me the same question about vets) anyway, uhh NO i'll pass. many of you are too hung up on the word "potential". Bottomline #1 he's injury prone #2 he's really not a spark off the bench. Is Livingston even capable of penetrating? Sorry guys I know many of you may have seen Sebastian Telfair documentary and fell in love with some of the players but just let it go. Many of those guys just don't have it in the pro's. No, to livingston & bringing Jefferson back.

no way.....why risk it on a kid who is injury prone and has yet to prove he is worthy of a contract, let alone an important role such as a backup for rondo??

easy pass.  i would rather have someone more proven and less injury prone.

Yeah I'm gunna have to agree with the people saying no to this. I see no reason to give this kid a contract. I also believe that until Nate Rob rejects our offer, we really have no need for a pg right now.

I like the stats he put in April games up based on that link you included ... however, I have no idea of what his game looks like right now.

Sounds great but I don't know enough about him. The price would certainly be right, so I'm not sure why people would be so opposed. Rondo definitely needs a backup. That much is obvious.

Resting him is the smart thing to do, and having a capable ball handler in reserve is a no brainer.

Fred Roberts, I agree.  He looked good the end of the season and the game the Wizards beat Boston Livingston actually ate up Rondo almost having a triple double with 25, 7, 6.  He may have turned the corner with his injuries and I like him better than Nate if heatlhy.  He is still only 24.  With Wall going to the Wizards and Arenas able to play the point he might not go back.  Plus with his length you could play him and Rondo together at times which is easier to get away with than Rondo and Nate.

However saying all that it is a risk as Nate doesn't have the injury history.   If the medical staff thinks he looks fine it could be worth the look though.
