There was apparently time for Warriors owner Chris Cohan to make one last cash grab on his way out the door.

The team just announced that it traded its 2nd-round pick (No. 34) for a Portland Trailblazers 2nd-round pick (No. 44) and cash.

Jonathan Givony believes the Blazers are targeting either Gani Lawal or Trevor Booker.

Even as he's being shoved out the door in Portland, Kevin Pritchard continues to work his magic.

If Danny Ainge does have health concerns, I would love for the Celtics to somehow grab Pritchard and groom him as an eventual replacement.

I was going to amend my original post to say much the same, Lucky. I can't help but be impressed.

People may say Pritchard's job is easy, working for an owner who has nearly bottomless pockets.

But, the guy works the phones harder than anyone else in the league. He's always looking at finding a deal to improve the team.

Woe to the Blazers, who are about to settle for some third-rate/retread GM to replace him, and for no good reason (personality conflicts with Allen and his people).

Apparently, Portland paid around $2 mil to move up from their spot in the 2nd.

Chad Ford says the following:

Quote
Blazers swap the 44th pick & cash for the 34th pick. They like some guys at 34, but could package with 22 to move up a few spots.

If true, I hope Ainge would explore the possibility of sliding down from #19 to #22 in order to grab an early second rounder.
