I am a life long Celtic fan, but did not feel we were ripped off. Frankly, the refs allowed alot of contact in game 7, which played to our advantage.  Lakers beat us, let's deal with it and move on.

I think the winners of the Euroleague should challenge the Lakers to a playoff.  If the Europeans win, then we should get rid of the World Champions moniker.

The truth:  The Lakers should be stripped of their title because I'm not happy with the results! >:(

i am waiting for someone to post the video of Kobe kicking Perk's leg out from under him when he got hurt.  Why has no one posted it?

As far as letting it go goes, I am sure that Laker's fans would love to let it go.  They are the Darlings of David Stern, ESPN and the NBA.  It was so obviously a rigged and manipulated outcome that I am no longer an NBA fan.

The Celtics are constantly getting hosed by Stern.  A few years ago when we came in next to last place we were going onto the drawing for the draft pick and came up with the fifth spot.  They picked the spots in a secret room where no one else but the head of security for the nba could see and he certified the results.  The three teams that should have gotten the 1,2 and 3 pick all finished 4,5 and 6 in the order of their finish.  Stern had previously accused those teams of tanking their season.  It looked like a pretty obvious fix to penalize tankers.  I don't remember the drawing ever being done in a super secret room before and the public being told to trust the outcome because it had been certified by the head of nba security.  It stunk and still sticks of being rigged.

Because that didnt happen. Go ahead and post because you will see a little nudge from Kobe. Nothing even close to box out no less a dirty play.

Also, Perk wouldnt be hurt if his legs were tripped up, that was the problem, he came down akwardly on his legs...

Edit: Completely misunderstood ... they should be stripped of the title because the distorted and biased officiating system of the NBA and it's President, handed it to them on a silver platter. Inthis case, the best team lost, and it was proven once again that the "Good Guys" don't always win, and with enough prejudiced manipulation from within, "fairness" and "objectivity" are words that are slowly but surely becoming a thing of the past. Sad.

I disagree. The Lakers had a better regular season record in a tougher division AND conference giving them HCA, and won 4-3.

YOUR OPINION THAT "the best team lost" is subjective. Most fans agree that despite the inevitable missed calls/no-calls, the officiating didn't change the outcomes.

Here's an article I wrote about why the Lakers should be stripped of their 2010 World Champions title.  Enjoy- http://bleacherreport.com/articles/409088-why-the-2010-world-champion-lakers-should-be-stripped-of-their-title

What a lame blog, and to post multiple times looking for support is pathetic.

In the bleacher report piece, the title is "2010 NBA Champions: Why the 2010 Lakers Should Be Stripped of Their Title".

Then the subject is changed to "the Laker's aren't world champions.

What a waste of time...

Well "most fans" are wrong then, because I would like to know how any team can win a game with a 21-6 gap in free throws. LA won because they had help from the refs. The game was called differently going into the 4th from the previous 3 quarters. Anyone that can't see that is in denial and doens't want to believe the NBA has a serious problem.

What I don't understand is how this league can be above corruption and/or incompetence. Is it really that far out to think that? This country is full of businessmen, politicians that would lie to make a buck. Why is it so hard to believe that this league is immune to that?

Back to wanting Joe fired.

As I watched game 7 of the NBA Finals, I heard the announcer say "The Los Angeles Lakers are the 2010 World Champions."

I've always thought it's really arrogant that NBA teams proclaim themselves 'World Champions' for winning their national competition.

Here's an article I wrote about it and the Miss Universe contest.

Enjoy- http://bleacherreport.com/articles/409088-why-the-2010-world-champion-lakers-should-be-stripped-of-their-title

Does anyone agree?

Is it American arrogance or just an outdated tradition?

Then the celtics aren't 2008 "world champions". Dumb. Do you honestly think the Euroleague has a chance against teams like ours? I don't quite know where else they play, but I do not think it can even compare.

It's not immune to it. But looking at game 7, your team made some really stupid fouls that WERE fouls (Ray anyone?) and you lost because of it. Your team lost because of bad decision making. The officiating has been bad on both sides all series I'll admit, but that didn't stop the celtics from taking game 5. Stop making excuses, the better team won.

Shame! The Celtics did us very proud this season. Who in their right mind expected us to be in Game 7 of the NBA Finals against that far superior team from L.A.? I was at the game and let me tell you, the Celtics got away with murder in the first half with our usual array of illegal screens and hammering every player if they tried to score inside. Do you really think that all those attempted put backs from offensive rebounds were "blocked shots." Every call in the fourth quarter, with the possible exception of Ray-Ray's foul on Kobe Bryant (on the replay that was a foul, too) were hard fouls on the Lakers. It is the Celtics, NOT the Lakers who are the beneficiaries of David Stern's East Coast bias. If the refs called the game evenly and the Lakers hit their free throws and open shots in the first half, this one would have been a 39 point laugher in their favor. In fact, the way they beat us was a WAY WORSE way to lose! I'm sick.

I think the stupid foul that bugged me the most was Big Baby's frustration foul 90 feet from the Lakers hoop, giving them two freebies.

I do not like this reality of yours!  I'm going back to mine, where Laker # 24 was ejected in the first quarter for taking a swing at a point guard in green.  The Laker team never recovered and the green team was given a metallic object by an elderly gentleman in grey.
