Ok, so the Celtics are the new "bad boys". Please Danny, play the role to perfection.  The Celtics had played a clean tough team-oriented kind of basketball that has dominated in the playoffs. In 2008 nothing stopped them, they were too good to be beaten, but then in 2009 came the KG and Leon injuries, and in 2010 they couldn't overcome injuries and bad refs.

But the interesting thing is the Celtics have become the public enemy #1 for Stern, ESPN and all the marketing minds. I posted this in another thread (http://forums.celticsblog.com/index.php?topic=39180.msg788470#msg788470), they have created a Celtics image as thugs, dirty, non-athletic, evil team, as opposed to their puppets, Co-b and Lebrick, who represent the hero-ball-star system-big shoe-sell kind of "good boys". I believe even us, celtics fans, have bought some of this, and somehow have to fight the idea of the celtics deserving to be beaten by the Magic, by the fakers and the refs. We better wake up and take advantage of this situation.

So what? The Celtics are bad? Let's be really bad. The Celtics must act as a Supervillain All-Star team. I jump on the bandwagon of trying to sign Shaq for the minimum to take revenge on Kobe. Get Tyrus Thomas with the MLE, he'll be great from the bench, he's tough on the boards and can end being a great player. Let's get also for veteran contracts Raja Bell or Matt Barnes, or whoever has had a feud with the golden and purple saint. Resign TA and Nate, keep Sheed if possible, dump Shelden and Marquis, hire Scal as an assistant coach to talk trash like he did after 2008 game 7. Draft some young prospects to learn how to play tough basketball, and develope Celtic Pride. We don't need nasty players, we need to be the nastiest team. Yeah, it could seem like a semi-retirement house, but with some youth additions it will be fine.

Remember the 1988 finals? The Lakers beat the Pistons 4-3. What happened next year? The Pistons swept the Lakers. and achieved to repeat in 1990 against the Blazers.

The Pistons weren't an old team, but neither were as good as this Celtics. Aside from personnel changes, they embraced their "bad boys" reputation, and perfected their style, they were enjoying. Our Celtics need to do so, I don't think they need major roster changes, what they need is some young legs, some health, and some intimidation skills. The Celtics won't be another "bad boys", they will be the baddest (the best)  boys!!! ;D

And then you have President O'Bama elevating Gasol and LA to God-Like Status.......

I love O'Bama, but his comments toward LA gives them too much credence...

...and Thus the Boys in Green are the New Evil Empire - The New York Yankees of the NBA.
