Obviously there are many reasons why this loss is heartbreaking and depressing, but to me the fact that we're still undefeated in the playoffs with our starting 5 healthy is just another one, and a big one.

We were that close to winning game 7. But Perk's absence cost us big time and allowed the Lakers to dominate us on the glass. Gasol would never have had a monster 4th quarter had Perk been in the game, I can tell you that.

Doc reminded in the postgame conference that the starting 5 is still undefeated when healthy, and that's true... it hurts to think that we would probably be 8-0 in the playoffs had Perk played in game 7.

And next year this starting 5 may not be the same so... tough to accept that in 3 years we only got the best of it once, and got stopped by injuries in 2009 and in the biggest game of our season in 2010.

Yep, the media and eveyone else kept Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.ing about Bynum and claiming that his health was the big difference. They never want to admit that he's chronically injured, making the big qualifier with his health as moot as talking about how much better the Yankees would be playing with Nick Johnson starting every game even though you have to build in 50-150 injury days every time you project his production.

Perk played through his ailments, but you can't play through the two tears he had. It would've been nice for the commentators to make the "if Perk was playing" qualifier when discussing the Lakers' play, but we know how that is.
