These times are tough for sure. I'm glad I already cried a bit. After the Pats lost in 2008 it took me a whole week to get myself to cry (I was too numb to do so). The silver lining is that these times really make the great times that much greater. I was born in 84 so I didn't remember when the Sox lost in 86. When 2003 happened I thought it was the end of the world, but then the run in 2004 happened. And, now I can look back and realize how much sweeter the horrible loss to the yanks in 03 really made the comeback in 04. As sports fans we have to earn our stripes. And there's nothing more testing than a loss when you are SOOO close to winning it all. Believe me, I'm personally very hurt. I spent over a grand on tickets this entire season, don't know if I've ever spent over a couple hundred on a single season for any team before. I was planning on putting all my ticket stubs from the year in a plaque type deal and getting it engraved, doesn't make a whole lot of sense now. But, it's okay. I love my C's (okay this is making me start to cry again lol). I got so much enjoyment out of this season. It was a roller coaster ride. We took our lumps, but we kept fighting, and I'll never forget the ride they took us all on. We'll be back. If not next year, or the year after, or the year after that, we'll be back. I watched this team when it was one of the worst in the league, and I'll continue to do so no matter what. Because that's what makes the moments we experienced in 08 and yes even this year that much sweeter.
