I mean, where do the Celtics go from here? After an abysmal regular season and this debacle in Game 7, what do I have to look forward to seeing next season? An older, slower version of this same team losing to bad teams for 82 games followed by a heartbreaking loss in the playoffs? These guys really shot themselves in the foot in my opinion by not winning this title and I feel bad for them as I wanted to see them do it so badly at least one last time in my lifetime. But if you're asking me and most Boston fans to go through this heartache again next season, forget about it.

I really don't know what the Celtics do to save their fanbase right now. A smudge on the Celtics legacy like this is something we'll all just going to have to live with for the rest of our lives and it's definitely a poor reflection on the Big 3. I feel terrible for these guys and especially Ray but it's over. If Boston wants to remain a competitive market in basketball, one that is going to foster continued excitement and life in their fans, they're going to have to rebuild- no ifs, ands or buts. No one is coming back for more of this and a heartbreak like this stays with you for years. Not the way Boston wanted to start the decade.

I'm just not at all looking forward to next season, especially having to spend another year in Kobe's shadow. After all this... The ultimate letdown in Celtics' history imo. Absolutely crushing :'(

Believe it or not, I will only not look forward to next season IF this team looks relatively the same.

If Pierce opts out, if Ray goes elsewhere, if this team looks very different at the start of next season, then I'll actually be pumped to see what they can come up with.

I can't wait until next season and the beginning of the rebuilding. Cannot wait.

The rebuilding is gonna be long and difficult with a lot of ups and downs.

I'd be scared if core virtually remains the same.

KG will be better, Rondo will be better, and i think that Paul now understands that he needs to be smart about even the smallest injuries.

I think next season could be good. But we need to inject some youth into the lineup.

I’m looking forward to this draft as well, we’ve gotten some good pieces in this part of the draft. Reggie Lewis and Rajon Rondo included.

I really really want the core to stay together.

If not for a championship run, just the for fantastic fun of seeing them play just a few games more.

Mind says - break it up (to some extent) and get younger and more athletic.

Heart says - same guys back for one more run.

Agreed...I don't think I can handle not seeing this core back together, Doc included. I have trouble letting go...

I wish they had just lost to Cleveland like everyone thought they would instead of dragging it out the way they did. Would have been a lot easier to swallow seeing them back together next year for one last go at things. No way I can see them going the distance next year now. I think this is the end of an era ladies and gentlemen. Prepare to entertain the notion that Kobe really is the best player ever for the rest of our lives as Celtics fan.  Another notch on Boston's big belt of disappointment.

I'm as crushed as you are, but that doesn't make any sense.

I am not looking forward to next season simply because of the possibility that Kobe, Llamaman and the Fakers may be going for a three-peat.  Their repeat already leaves a bad taste in my mouth...

This possibility has me actual hoping LeBron ends up with Bosh, Wade, or Amare this summer so he has a shot at dethroning the Lakers.

What I'd REALLY like to see is Bosh go to Houston to pair up with Yao Ming and Kevin Martin (two of my favorite players) to give the Lakers a real run for their money in the West.

Lakers should be a pretty big favorite to win it all again next year and maybe the year after. Makes me sick.

If Lebron goes to Chicago (esp if Bosh forces a sign and trade there too) and if Dwade gets some help in Miami, the Fakers will have competition.

Of course, the C's could always make another win... I will hope...
