The good news here is that Sheed couldn't care less about what the fans think of him. At the same time, he seems to care deeply about his teammates and I think he'll be really motivated to step up big for them not for anyone else. Obviously, I don't care WHAT motivates him, I just care that he's motivated and actually comes through.
As I said in another thread, this game reminds me that Sheed played in the epic WCF game 7 with the Blazers and against the Lakers. He completely carried the team in that game (scored 30 pts.) though, as I recall, he couldn't finish it off at the end. Fortunately, we've got Pierce and Allen and KG that are capable of finishing things off if Sheed can just help them get there. I believe he will.
And then, this whole Sheed signing will have been worth it.
EDIT: Quite frankly, in my mind, he's already proved his worth during this playoff run...
