Artest is a thug.  There was also the hard foul on KG in Game 5 that lead to Rondo's T, plus him being a (insert expletive) when he was on the FT line and Pierce wanted to walk in front of him to get to into position.

Plus he starts brawls, tosses TV monitors and probably would wind up in a psych ward if professionally evaluated.

Just a wonderful guy and a tribute to everything decent that the NBA stands for.....
Good post.  We can never NEVER let anyone forget what **** this guy is.  DO NOT FORGET THAT THIS GUY WENT INTO THE STANDS AND BEAT THE CRAP OUT OF SPECTATORS.

Now a big Laker hater, but if someone throws a drink on me then yeah I'm going up to the stand to have a talk with him. But overall he is HACKTEST or Crazy RON RON.

was this the same shot to Rondo's face/head that Bill Simmons made a reference to during his live game chat that runs on the espn site .................. or was there another shot that Rondo took to the head.

btw ................ neither warranted a whistle from Stern's refs.

By the way, hat was a flagrant foul if I've ever seen one. Artest attempted no play on the ball, but simply pushed Garnett while he was in the air.

So ridiculous.

One guy in stitches, another with a destroyed knee and NEITHER of those plays had fouls called. But every time Kobe even looked like he was going to drive to the basket they couldn't blow the whistle fast enough.

Whatever. There better be bunch of makeup calls tomorrow.

Bynum was called for a foul on the Perk play.

Vinnie its true man. Yeah he got the foul but he has been going over the back all series man. Even though we played lousy the refs swallowed their whistle yesterday man. It was meant to be.

I'm surprised the refs didn't call it as Rondo's offensive foul. The hand was there before the chin.

Ever wonder why Artest is still in the league period? Dude went into the stands and attacked fans. If you or I do that at work, we're on jail.

Thanks to an Artest elbow.

Wow, just saw that.  I had turned off the game by then in disgust.  That was clearly a calculated move to leave his elbow out there for Rondo to run into.  Obviously, they are not going to toss someone for a game 7, but that's a classless move.  Hopefully Rondo comes out looking for payback (by way of slicing and dicing their defense) tomorrow.

Interesting both Danny and Max on WEEI Wednesday afternoon said they thought Artest's elbow on Rondo WAS intentional.

It was actually only four stitches and whether it was intentional or not, it should have been called a foul.  Players shouldn't be able to get away with elbows, period. I don't know why the Lakers have this reputation as a finesse team (perhaps the flopping & whining?), because they are probably the second dirtiest team in the league next to the Jazz.

yeah, that definitely looked intentional to me. no need there for him to leave his elbow out like that while turning around. its either intentional on that play or he is so used to doing it all the time that its just natural to him (intentional again though).

BTW - knowing Rondo, I highly doubt he actually had 17 stitches. He's known for some of these straight guy / sarcastic acts.
Wasn't the initial report something like 4 stitches? Were there  stitches also in his mouth? I imagine 17 stitches on the outside would have meant a lot of blood. I think Rondo may be up to his press tricks.

I definitely think the forearm was intentional, though there was no way for Artest to know what exactly the result would be. Posey did that stuff for us in 2008. Those guys have no conscience. It sure can help the team.
