Doc mentioned that he wanted to get Shelden and Marquis minutes in case they were needed for game 7. Others have mentioned that they would rather see Scal get minutes. Others have said let them all sit and run a three man rotation for the C and PF positions. What is your take?

Scal. He can at least catch the ball where Shelden can't. He can guard the perimeter hit an outside shot if need be and make some decent passes.

None of those scrubs. If it came down to it, I'd rather see Gaffney get a chance.

I don't think Gaffney and Lafayette are playoff eligible. Didn't they sign just days before the regular season ended?

Think Shelden will see minutes against Bynum if he lasts. Otherwise like Scal against Odom. Sheed against Gasol. Question is who plays S. Brown. Think Doc should try Rondo on him and have Nate switch and cover Fisher or Farmar. Ray can't cover S. Brown. Really don't know why Doc mentioned Marquis unless he is unhappy with Tony of late. Has been pretty sloppy out there with him in.

Nate, BBD and Sheed better get it done!

The transfer deadline doesn't apply to players that were signed as free agents. Gaffney and Lafayette are eligible, but I don't think either of them will be in uniform tomorrow.

Scal will take the last big man spot, and you will likely see a three-man unit in the big man rotation, Garnett matching up with Gasol, Rasheed with Bynum, and Davis with Odom. Scal and Shelden may provide spot minutes for extra rest around quarter, or in case we get into foul trouble, god forbid.

I really want Marquis to play in Game 7.  Of the three players you mentioned, Daniels can have an immense impact on the game at both ends.  His size allows him to both guard Kobe and present mismatches defensively for the Lakers - he can post up any of their guards.  I think that he needs to be given Tony's minutes - and this isn't just because I don't like TA.  In a Game 7, I don't want to look back and say that Tony cost us the title with his usual boneheadedness.  If Marquis can play like he did in the beginning of the year - along with Rasheed - we might have a chance.

I also believe that if the Lakers bring Luke Walton into the game, Doc should give Michael Finley a look.  He won't be destroyed defensively by Walton as he was in Game 1 (by Shannon Brown) and could give us another shot in the arm offensively.

Bottom line - we're going to need everybody to give everything they have and more if we are to wrestle away the title from our hated rivals.  Man, that would be sweet.  To beat Phil again, on his home court, after losing Game 1 - that would be epic.  If it does happen, this will be one of the greatest games in the history of the franchise.  If we can blow them out, that would be great.  But more importantly, we simply cannot allow Phil and Kobe to beat us.  God I want this game.

Have to say Tony has been pretty bad. Not that he was the only one missing layups; but Doc cannot afford to experiment too much. Just wish I knew why Marquis feel out of the rotation- if it was just Tony then I say give him a chance. If there was something else have to trust Doc.

Scal.

He's played well in the post-season before. He'll step up. He won't play above himself; he'll do what he can do safely and just give Sheed and BBD some pause.

I want to see Scal in uniform and I'll be really disappointed if he's not.

The same Tony who has held Kobe to 25% shooting in this series? The same one Jeff Van Gundy  made a point to call one of the 5 best on ball wing defenders in the league? Sure he isnt good on offense, but you dont change your rotations in game 7 of the nba finals. And you definately dont stop playing your best perimeter defender when you are going against the best perimeter player in the league.

Quis wouldnt be able to give them anything, he is extremely rusty, has been a mess offensively for 6 months, and is way to slowfooted to defend Kobe who will just blow by him at will, and with no Perkins we cant afford that. Doc also said Quis should be ready to play in the Cavs series and he played 18 minutes in all 6 games combined. It's just Doc being Doc, Quis isnt going to see a meaningful minute tomorrow.

Here's a scary thought but we need to be prepared for every scenario - foul trouble. Wouldn't rule out anyone with a green jersey.

I'd prefer KG play 48 minutes.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.
