He went with BBD tonight in the 2nd half after the Perk injury. BBD actually came out with a lot of energy, but KG was still having to guard Gasol. I like the matchups of KG /Odom and Sheed/Gasol much better than BBD/Odom and KG/Gasol

Sheed absolutely frustrates Gasol, he is a lot stronger than KG and doesn't allow Gasol to catch deep and the paint. KG can dominate Odom.

Also on the offensive end it gives better spacing because Sheed has more range than BBD.

I like BBD energy off the bench .

Please I beg you Doc play Sheed and KG together for 30 + mins in game 7

sheed does a nice job on gasol in the paint, but the flip side is he lets up a ton of offensive rebounds to gasol because he does not get a body on him.

ACtually, Rasheed came in to replace Perkins. Davis was in when someone picked up fouls.

And maybe Sheed can play 30 minutes... if he wasn't picking up fouls every other minute.

KG + Sheed is a bad combo.  We'll lose if Perk doesn't play.

Bottom line.

I'd like to see the refs call ONE Push in the back on Gasol in this series---he's been getting away with it every game.

Sheed + KG was statistically poor for this season, but I agree. You have to do this to be able to defend Bynum and Gasol. Different story if Bynum is out, but I doubt it after all of this time...

I am not quite sure that it works. Maybe if one or both post up and allow Ray Allen to cut off screens and free him up for threes.

The season statistics on the KG + Sheed duo are irrelevant.

The only thing that matters is how they play against this specific matchup (Gasol + Odom/Bynum) and they are a good combination here.

If Perkins can't go, starting Sheed + KG gives Boston the best chance of winning.
