I guess I should be feeling pretty good right now---But, my nerves are on edge...I have a bad feeling something highly unusual will happen in Game 6--We're on the brink of Pushing our Championship Lead over the Lakers to 3...or The Lakers can get to within 1...If we can somehow Win---we'll survive the Kobe era....if Not, they might tie us next season.

Lots of questions:

Will Rondo ATTACK and be aggressive?

Will Pierce remain hot--wanting a 2nd Finals MVP?

How are the Refs gonna call Game 6?

Can Perk and Sheed avoid a potential Devastating 7th Tech?

Can the Bench perform once again?

Will Ray ever hit another 3 pointer?

The Lakers look ready to crack--we just have to keep the pressure on...I've been thinking all along--that we picked a Good year to be Great on the road---Now, let's finish it off tomorrow!.....ugh...Will I be able to sleep tonight?

I don't think Perk or Sheed will get another technical. I think Stern told the refs not to call any that would lead to a suspension unless they do something absolutely flagrant. I forget what game (I think Game 1) but Perk got tangled up with someone and in any other situation it would have been a double tech. Instead, the ref runs over and gives them a warning to stop.

In the pre finals press conference the commissioner acknowledged that the rule needed to be looked at. I think he realizes that it's flawed and passed it down to the refs that he doesn't want any suspensions during the Finals.

Just my observation but the evidence is there.

The 7th tech won't make a difference when they are doused in champagne.

The thing I'm nervous about is that the Celtics blowout will be so massive and devastating that Kobe gets frustrated and punches Andrew Bynum in the gut and Bynum's uterus comes out and drops through his shorts onto the court in a red blubbery puddle.  I hope they play the game on at least a 10 second delay to make sure people at home don't have to see that, that's not the kind of thing the NBA wants to be known for.
Double rainbow all the way

No need to be nervous. Something bad is going to happen. That is the NBA trying to fix the game with their refs to get their money maker to a game 7.

Its a fact. Its going to happen. We know it. The Celtics know it. The Lakers know it. David Stern knows it,

Not that it will matter, the Celtics will play through it like the championship team they are and win this thing tonight.

Reality Check.

It makes perfect sense (to some) that the NBA would be pushing for a seventh game to this series.

However, that logic would have held true for game six in 2008. And look what happened there. The Celtics won that game by like four touchdowns worth of points.

The referees for game six in 2008 were Joey Crawford, Bennett Salvatore, and Eddie F. Rush. This is a murderer's row of NBA company men (according to some) who should have been pushing the series to game seven (according to some).

Like with the first five games of this series, the best team should win tonight.

I have no worries whatsoever the Celtics will come out flat. They may miss shots, and may even lose, but the energy and focus will be there. Everyone of the big three knows the end of this series will play a big role in defining their legacies.

They're ready to roll.

I'm nervous and excited. Nervous because I feel like we could let this one slip away and it could come back to bite us in game 7.

Excited because there is a good chance we will be crowned champions once again tonight and celebrating on the Lakers' homecourt.

I just hope the refs are a non factor. The Lakers will be extra motivated and desperate, we will have to stomatch their early punches and then strike back.

The good thing when the other team is playing an elimination game is that if you get a 10 point lead or so, it can lead her to the brink and to her collapse, especially with the fans really worried in the stands.

Go Celtics, let's win it tonight!!

I actually envy you, Drucci!

I loved getting up at night and quietly screaming my lungs out at 6 or 7 in the morning. It was awesome, winning it, and the night thing actually added to it.

Now I'm going to watch the game at one of the many local sports pubs here, called Cheers. Great atmosphere, mainly more Celtics than Lakers, plus the Laker fans are loud, but the Celtics fans are proud, if that makes any sense :) We're the classy ones here :D

Anyway, it's all different, but I really am going to miss the nightly thing :D
