Can't get too down, gotta weather the storm and keep making plays.  The Lakers can't shoot this well forever.

This is something a lot of people don't want to hear, but Sheed needs to step up, big time, here.  These are the situations we signed him for; he needs to be effective if not productive while he's out there.

We gotta play better. Period.

We look a step slower and not playing with as much intensity.
This is a championship game isn't it?

C's better bring that energy NOW!
Anything is possible!!!

Yay a terrible first quarter in a massively important game.

Regular Season Celtics style.

Pierce was bad again too.

We expected the Lakers to come out on fire and they did in the 1st quarter. But our D was slow and our offense plain dumb, I mean, why is Paul passing the ball to TA when he has a clear drive to the rim?! And the ball slipping away on various occasions (like on that Nate's possession).

Gotta wake up right now before it's too late, we're still in this one, come on C's!!

about as bad a start as we could have. in a huge hole...turning the ball over..getting killed on the boards. looks a lot like several other games this playoffs when boston gets up in the series. can't handle prosperity

I didn't see a dirty play on the perk injury. I think you guys are seriously mistaken.

That said, they are taking X-rays. That means he's done for the year.

We need to clamp down in the 2nd quarter. We haven't fared so well in these playoffs playing catch up all game .
Tommy: He's got a line about me. Tell him the line.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

This is pretty much the worst possible start.  Let's weather this.

That was tough to watch, esp. Perk getting hurt, but let's not worry.  Plenty of time for some Celtics basketball, and I don't mean a game 7.

THAT was a DIRTY MOVE by Kobe, he kicked Perks foot while Perk was in the air so he could land awkward. Blatant move to intentionally try and injure him the cameras dont lie.

Heres to hoping Perks knee isnt blown out if so were done...

Artest is not the dirtiest in the league... you just found out who really is, and I want Shelden to get his Technical after kicking that clown's face.

It's going to be tough, but they got to do it for Perk, injured after a dirty play. Go Celtics!!!!!

play hard, kick asses!!!

  • TRANSFORMATION INTO CHAMPION COMPLETE!!!
C's need to attack the basket and play D, and for God's sake rebound the ball!

Refs ain't helping the cause at all.

  • You say when......
just looked at simmons thing cause he's at the game
Quote
"Perk just got helped off by 2 guys. Slowly. He's done. Looks like a blown-out knee... what a shame."

Wow seriously...I don't even know what to say to that. :'(

Eye for an eye, take out Bynum, his knee is already questionable.

No one took out Perk. He came down weird. God, this whole take guys out thing is just lame. Grow up. Let's win a game cause we're the better team. I am all for hard fouls, showing them you don't come into the paint without getting hit, but intentional injuries is childish.

Did you watch Kobe in the replay.....you might see it differently.

I did, he fouled him. he didn't "take him out." his leg under him wasn't a designed way to injure Perk.

Heck, even if you want to take Bynum out, we're already down a big, its a bad idea to lose another one for this game.

Kobe didn't jump, after he pushed him, he looked right at perks leg, then kicked it with his right leg, sure, what ever happened after that....."Was an accident!".

This is going to be another game where a 10 point lead will feel like 20, a 5 point lead will feel like 10.

I just get the feeling we won't be able to get over that hump tonight.  With the way we're playing defense, with the way THEY are playing defense, plus losing Perk, plus Ray still not finding his shot (even though he hit that 3), plus working against the officials being in LA...I will be honestly shocked if things start to go our way

Too early?
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

With Perk likely gone at least for the game, Sheed and Baby need to bring it on. The lakers are shooting well right now. The C's should just play with more intensity. Let's do this!!

Absolute awful start.

Come on C's....can we please pick it up a bit?

Stop the sloppy TO's....and go for every offensive + defensive rebound
