I think I actually have respect for Jermaine O'Neal now. I think he's the only one who took his beating from us like a pro and didn't make an excuse for his sucking.

These "I'm not making an excuse, but you know, hey, I'm sick/hurt!" statements are ridiculous, and it seems they will never stop. Every player is playing hurt or sick at this point, stop complaining and just play.

You're right, at least Jermaine O'Neal didn't use any excuses for his terrible playoff series.

Post-Jordan, you are no longer allowed to use the flu as an excuse for poor performance.

I'm still skeptical if Jordan really ever had the flu. Granted he's in better shape than anyone I know but generally the flu will render people unable to get out of bed.

You forgot Kobe now also has a lil booboo on his poor foot, had to leave one shoe untied following the game

I don't care if they make excuses forever.  Just beat the crap out of them and let's hang another banner.

Lets sign O'neal as a backup center for low money

So waht was it? Did you see how exhausted he looked during the game?

Jordan's flu ranks up there in genuineness with Earvin's  "condition".

I also saw Paul Pierce in a wheelchair....

I also saw the messiah with an elbow brace that looked like something borrowed from the Road Warriors....

The league is and always has been full of drama queens.

One thing has nothing to do with the other. Every case is different.

The common denominator is that the lapdog media has been/is reporting the drama queen stuff as headline news.

Listening to them talk about the Messiah's elbow ad-nauseum is about as tedious as listening to that idiotic Staples commercial...
