So, I'm moved into my new place. I was outside playing basketball today and the neighbor kid came over, this kid is probably 7 or 8. He's actually pretty good so I start talking to him.

I ask him who his favorite team is. He says, "The Celtics." So far, so good. I ask him who his favorite player is. He says, "Rajon Rondo."

I ask him if he's heard of Jordan. He says no, disappointing if you ask me. I'm a Celtics fan, through and through but, I love Jordan. I get out my phone and show him some videos of Jordan on Youtube. I ask him what he thought of him, you know, pretty good huh? haha.

He looks at me flatly and says, "Rondo is better."

Great kid.

Awesome idea ... sounds like you could be a great mentor to this kid ... maybe help him with his game. I love working with kids ... I wanna coach again on some level when I cut my hours, it's really such a rewarding thing to do. This kid might like having a "Big Brother" around to show him the ropes ... and learn about the greatness of the Celtics!

Yeah, I never had a brother, I'm an only child so I love this kind of opportunity. Growing up with my grandpa, he was an old coach, I really learned a lot about the game, I feel like I could pass along a lot to the kid. He's asked if I could "give him lessons" lol. The kids kind of in a crappy situation so I hope that I can be a good influence on him. And of course, he'll get the "Celtics of old" treatment that I got from my grandpa.

That's great ... you just never know what a positive influence could do to change a kid's life. Glad your kitty's doing well, too ... my cat Cosby is my best Bud ... I call him "Pooch" sometimes cuz he follows me around like a dog, and he always sleeps right beside my head ... only problem is he's 21 pounds and eats like a pig, lol! He's a pain-in-the-butt sometimes, but he's been a good friend.

My kitten's name is Isabella, but I call her Bella for short. She's a gray and black tabby, her markings are extremely intense, I haven't seen anything like it before.

My cat does the exact same thing! I thought it was weird at first but now it's sickeningly adorable. That is a large cat... haha. Animals are such good companions. My little kitten has been such a comfort to me already and I've only had her for 3 months. I couldn't bare to lose her.

wow! Rufus is a tabby cat also. His tabby markings are also quite extreme and pretty distinguishable. Isabella's such a cute name by the way! And almost like Bahku, my cat seems to like sleeping on my neck causing me to have trouble breathing.. lol. Weird place hunh?

Haha, we've been drawn together by our cats and our love of the Celtics. Celticsblog rocks Thanks, I really liked the name, it really fits her. I love the name Rufus, I imagine him being a pretty playful cat with a name like that. The first thing I thought of when I saw his name was a Scottish Fold cat lol.
