... either a Celtics championship, or a Game 7 against the Lakers.  Maybe both.

I'm so proud of the way this team has come together.  It's been an amazing run.

I love this team. And I hate LA so much. Please Basketball Gods, just one more game.

Game 7s are never a treat.

It really has been quite an improbable run.

But you know, this team has a relatively simple way it can beat anyone that cannot be defended, really. If we do what we need to do, we're going to win.

I thought Garnett had his best game of the playoffs tonight, influencing the game on both ends of the floor. Rondo made mistakes, but I'd rather see him attacking like he was tonight than yo-yoing the basketball at the top of the key.

And the bench - wow. I'm not sure we're paying enough attention on this blog to the huge mismatch between the two benches. I mean, ours vs. Lamar Kardashian? Hahahahaha. First round knockout.

We've been playing with the house's money for quite some time in my eyes. It's time to cash out Tuesday night in LA and pick up the gold ball.

This is why this series is so tense and difficult for me to watch.  To get this far and lose to anyone is awful -- but to get this far and to know that if you lose it's to the Lakers, sends the anxiety soaring.  One more game.

Amazing run indeed, on the verge of closing out... hopefully in game 6 in L.A! So proud of the team right now and excited for the next game.

One more win!

Two years ago, on June 17, we won Game 6. I say we do it again!

This run has been amazing. That said I want it to end Tuesday night with Banner 18.

Definitely in for a treat... we finally played a good game and yet it was extremely sloppy.  Too many turnovers allowed this game to be close.  But I think we have finally figured out what to do against this Lakers team that is very obviously better than the last Lakers team we beat to win the finals.

Need to win 1 out of 2 to make this a happy summer!!!!

  • Thank you Eddie!
We have already been having our treat through the whole playoffs, and a win Tuesday would make it so much sweeter.  This title run will constantly battle the '95 Rockets for most surprising title run in NBA history.

A bottle of Jack Daniels _is_ a treat.

Whatever happens, I love this team.  The Celtics are the definition of a team.  We're not about one guy, we're about everyone, and that's what its about.  ;D

Koz, let's play a scrimmage in Buzzer if you're up for it.

The whole season has just been SO much fun.

The MLE, KG, Quisy, Baby going down, first game take-down of the Cavs, Christmas Day over the Magic, Quisy going down, Getting Nate, Losing losing losing, flipping the switch, goodbye Dwyane, laters BronBron, cheerio D-How and good morning Kobe.

And that's just off the top of my head...!

Regardless of what happens from here; what a fantastic ride.

I think if we win its best described as this generation's version of the 69 Celtics.

I really think this Laker team is soft mentally. Always have. They like punching and pushing around inferior teams. But when a team takes their best punch, gets up, smiles at them and hits them hard back, this team doesn't have what it takes to get back up and hit back again.

If the Celtics frustrate them defensively again on Tuesday in the first half and goes into the second half up by around 8-10, I say this Laker team will do what they did two years ago and turtle up and die a bad, bad death.
