Also, let's not forget that Tony Allen block on Gasol.

If Tony's first name was LeBron, that block would have been leading off Sportscenter and been about the only thing the talking heads would be talking about.

Because it's Tony Allen, barely a whisper.

Can't wait to see Kobe in the presser with that disdainful, disinterested, obnoxious look on his face. I sure hope someone asks him if his desire to shoot the ball almost every time down the floor for an entire quarter froze his team mates up and actually hurt his team more than it helped them.

For what it's worth, I thought Ron Ron missed that crucial first free throw in the same way VC missed his first in Game 2 of Orl-Bos: roll over the rim, bounce high, and hit the front rim.

Also.. both VC and Ron Ron clanked the second one long.  :-*

BEAT LA!!!

I hope Ray stops his 3pt shooting drought!!!

LOL Rondo.
Tommy: He's got a line about me. Tell him the line.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

No reporter will have the guts to ask him this question, I can tell you that.

I wonder if Kobe will throw his teammates under the bus, though.

Edit: haha Rondo, questioned on the Artest flop :  "I ain't that strong"

Ray was huge tonight in spite of the foul calls.

Great D allowed Pierce to focus on offense.

Sorry guys, but I'm sticking with the same player pictures for game 6. We won games 4 and 5 with them and I'm not changing them now.  Great win.

My favorite play of the game... Garnett to Pierce to Rondo for the layup.  Incredible TEAM ball by the Celtics.  Again the Lakers doubled us on FT's.  26-13 even after the intentional fouls at the end.  Sad.   Now we have 2 chances to close it out.  GO CELTICS!!!!
That catch Rondo made by reaching back and one handing the ball on the catch and then hitting the layup is about a 9.5 out of 10 on the difficulty scale. If Bill Belichick saw that he should be calling Rondo's agent offering him a contract as a wide receiver. That was an amazing catch.

As per the Yahoo! Sports Game 5 Recap:
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/recap;_ylt=AnKDJMFU1m6FBndTekGPaT.8vLYF?gid=2010061302

"NOTES: Of the 25 finals that have been tied at 2-all, the winner of Game 5 has won 19 of them. … Rondo was called for a technical foul in the second quarter when he pushed Artest in retaliation for a hard foul on Garnett. Artest embellished the shove, but got the call. … Celebrities in the crowd: sprinter Usain Bolt, actress Eliza Dushku, Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea and singers Glen Frey and Jimmy Buffett, Philadelphia Phillies slugger Ryan Howard and New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick."

 ;D

Well he graciously said that Gasol could afford to have a bad game since he's been consistent in the past.

Kobe just cracked a joke and laughed! :o :o

I thought he wouldn't smile until he won the championship... does this mean he is forfeiting?

Wow, that Pierce pass to Rondo for the layup was eerily similar to Bird's pass to DJ back in '87.

As far as that ball hitting or not hitting the rim---well, we Finally caught a break---since MOST of the calls went to the Lakers tonight:

Pierce's block leading to 3 Free Throws for Fisher...
Gasol pushing KG in the back on a made Basket(no Call)--then Later Pushing Rasheed under the hoop for a putback (No Call)--Bynum hitting Pierce on the shoulder on his missed layup (no Call)....Rondo's late tip in--Fouled by Odom--(no Call)----More than made up for it....That's like 9 points right there.
