not a bad idea on the last play but a bad pass from PP.

don't know if I should be encouraged by a 2 point lead.  should be more with the way PP is shooting but why can't we limit the Lakers to 1 and done and clog the land for those [dang] big man layups?

It's tight but it seems to me they are working a lot harder for their points.  Let's keep our turnovers to a minimum and I think we can manufacture a good second quarter.

I think there are two really good things from the 1st quarter:

1)  Pierce looks good.  As long as he knows when to pass, he'll be devastating.

2)  Bynum won't be able to keep that up all game.  If the Celtics concentrate on getting defensive rebounds more, it'll help a lot.

I don't understand why Artest has struggled so badly offensively within the Triangle. The offense isn't that different to Rick Adelman's offense in Sacramento and Artest did well there.

I don't care about his scoring or the shooting ... it's the decision making and passing/non-passing decisions, the hesitations leading to low percentage plays, that are causing the main problems. The passing is hurting his teammates so badly.

It feels like half of LA's points are second chance baskets.

Must be. They are shooting 33 % while we're at almost 58.

a makeup call of sorts---well, evening out those bad one's on PP, but i'll take it.

Paul was in position, it was an offensive foul

odom pushed bbd with his right hand off to make the jump, dropped his shoulder to roll to the hole...all natural fouls......pp...it was close...but i will take it..!

Very happy with the first quarter mainly because LA looked in such poor shape.

Bodes well for the rest of the night.

Shooting nearly 60% to the Lakers' 31% and yet only up 2 after one quarter... L.A has 6 FT's, we have none. Don't like the officiating so far, they reward every contact for L.A and every flop (hi Fisher) and yet when TA or Rondo get bumped on the other end, no call. Hopefully it will change.

KG and Paul were hot in the 1st quarter, let's keep going to Pierce till he cools off but attack the basket please!

This reminds me of Game 4 so far...Celtics executing their offense and defense better, but Lakers hanging in because of high degree of difficulty shots, careless mistakes by us, and some calls going their way.  Gotta continue to clamp down and the lead should extend a bit...bench is huge here.

The way I see it, we should be up by 7 points(Fishers 3 FT and that crazy of the bank shot)

seemed like he was moving a bit, but no different than the earlier call, and a call they go 50/50 on most of the time.. but cheers to a good result.

I always cringe with each jump but I enjoy it when it goes down...

that pass to nate was....too late..and not a good pass for a shooter...bynum is a monster....unless you actually cover him..and not get lost like perk does.........howard leaned on perk all day = easy to find..bynum moves..on one leg...perk makes me mad. TA, ugly posiotn shot, but he likes it and it works. so i like it.
