Asked whether the Lakers would try to goad Perk or Sheed into their next technicals, Phil Jackson responded:

"That's not fair play. That's not the way to play games," said Jackson. "You can be provocative and get out there and act kind of like they do, if you want to, and get in people's faces and do that. But that's not the way I like to coach a team. That's not what I consider positive coaching, and that's what I like to think is the right way to do things."

Phil seriously ?? Funny you say that because from what I saw game 4...about 3 of your players were trying to bait Perk into picking up a technical.

More mind Games from Philster. Doesn't surprise me. There is a Lot riding on this series for LA - they lose, and I'd be very surprised if Phil or Artest comes back.

They are getting desperate. You think Philster is bad now? Wait until after Father's Day.

While I will admit that Phil's players are not quite as demonstrative, they do their fair share of complaining and talking. Fisher jawing with Ray, Kobe making gestures to the crowd, and compaints to officials on many call against them. They are not innocent bystanders by any means.

I don't know how he didn't fall over guffawing after he said this. A no comment would have sufficed over this obvious lie. If he really doesn't believe in what his players are so blatantly doing out there he'd have told them to to cut it out already.
Tommy: He's got a line about me. Tell him the line.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

Sour grapes from the losing side. Did we expect anything different from this guy?

Ut yeah, I did notice Kobe yapping at Perk after two or three plays for seemingly no reason. It was pretty obvious that they were trying to get Perk to retaliate and get a tech. Pretty cheap if you ask me.

We have a lot of good trash talkers. Kobe is good, but he is just one guy against the trash talking of KG, Pierce, Perk and Nate.

I think it show how desperate they are.
Losing this series would be worse for LA than to Boston. Losing on their home court, Kobe losing for the third time in the finals, would seriously affect his place in history and end some of the comparisons with MJ.
If they feel this is their best chance of winning the series they must not like their chances after watching the games replayed.
