And he was escalating it... his screams were getting longer, his runs were getting longer, and apparently he was getting more profane. That's a recipe for a T.

I think Perkins has been controlling himself very well, I think he will avoid a T.

I have less faith in Sheed.
yeah, Sheed went nuts in last night's game -- almost to the point of yelling "just give me a T already!".

that t was bs. He runs away a screams and the t him up. that was pure garbage.

No the T was deserved.  He did that about three times during the game.  He needs to control himself with that.
he carried on way past the point of a reasonable protest of the call.  the swearing didn't help either.  it's like he was asking for one.  I can't believe the refs waited as long as they did to call it.  I actually thought they were going to give him 2 for that display.

I didn't hear the swearing, I just heard the scream. They have got to give some room for emotion. How is this any different from a scream after a dunk? I've seen guys give a yell and have nothing called.

I will say that it was dumb on his part to draw attention to himself by doing it. He knows he's a target so he should shut up. But I still think the ref could have let it go.

It's showing up the refs and he did two times before.

Yeah it was a major show up, running all around the court. Tech well deserved unfortunately.

Man, the Lakers were baiting Perk pretty hard last night.  Kobe, Artest, and I forget who else were getting right in his face yapping away, perfectly willing to take a T themselves to get Perk to bite on his end of the Double-T hook.

Nice job by Perk.
Yup

Yep on each call that worse than previous.  I'm backing Sheed on those horrible calls.  It's BS and I'm done worrying about T's.  Play the game you want to Sheed.

I wish more C's felt the same way.

In regards to the OP C's win no T's over in 6.

sheed needs to control himself more, but on the other hand, he's had a bunch of horrible calls go against him. you get enough of those, you're likely to go a little bit crazy. fact is, 2 or 3 of sheed's fouls last night were absolutely ridiculous. if those don't get called, i doubt sheed loses it.

I love Sheed's personality and it's good for our team, imo. He may not be politically correct, though.
Funny when the whole crowd in the stadium was chanting
"Kobe Sucks" over and over again and the announcers were trying to describe what they were saying to the tv audience and they were laughing their butts off.
Lighten up and realize that most everyone curses, especially the players. This is the Finals and emotions are high. Even those who try never to curse will say the S bomb when they stub their toe, and that is way less important than the Championship, isn't it?
I love the poster who said what do you want a team 'monotone'? Heck no, we don't want that at all. We want emotion and action and real people. Sheed is real. He may have a temper, but that's just who he is. If he gets a T, he gets a T. There's not a thing you can do about it, nor can you effect any influence upon what he does. He is not like that. He is Sheed and I'm so glad we have him.

  • You say when......
The refs have resorted to giving out T's all the time, for general purpose...it's as if they'll need to come up with a "next level" call to show that they are now serious....Sheed did hit that block clean...on kobe, but no need to go over the wall..the funny thing is, sheed is bad, but most have accepted that perk is worse.....perk complains when he gets the call.....what is his mentality...honestly..did he come straight out of elementary school..? Without his woobie...?
