Doesn't matter.

The Celtics just need to win two games with a combined 2 more points then the Lakers.

i'd hate to win without bynum on the floor.  i hope he plays.  We can still still win with him on the floor.  We could be celebrating a 4-0 sweep right now if we were shooting like we're supposed to be shooting.  Bynum or no bynum.  Ray makes 3 of those 13 misses and we win game 3.  We make half of the FT's we missed in Game 1 and we have a shot of winning that game as well.

I won't push it by getting greedy with my hopes here.  Just a win would satisfy me just fine.

Remember, even if we/they go up 20 at some point, both teams are capable of comebacks because of defense.

I don't think there will be a real "blowout game" by either team in this series to be honest...not the way things are looking right now.

I honestly don't know if that game is coming. Yesterday would've been our best chance, IMO, but we missed so many open shots. When we start hitting the open shots we've gotten all series the blowout will happen.

Blowout game will happen if:

1. They play their D (which they have for the most part this series, dictating pace and making it hard on LAL)

2. They push the ball on all stops

3. Rondo plays well

4. Two of Pierce, Allen, KG have a strong offensive game - so far Pierce in game 1 & 4, Allen in 2, and KG in 3. Need two of the three to be efficient on the plays where the C's are forced to run their half court.

It's still going to be hard to win game 6 and 7 on the road, so I'd love to get the blowout game in game 5, going back to LAL needing just a split and breaking the every other cadence of the series.

anyone else think last night's game is how the entire series should have been called? they let them play on both ends and the refs didnt insert themselves into the game. def. the best crew so far

Hey I hear ya about Bynum but I look at it this way...they rely on a guy that gets hurt literally EVERY year at this time. So they are flawed.

I have Laker fans as acquaintances (NOT friends) and they call me a Bynum hater. I alawys recognize his basketball skills but the guy is just too injury prone. I also think he is as soft as Jello.

I mean the guy publically complains about his injuries all the time. Usually you hear athletes say, "Everyone is injured at this point". Not this guy, he plays up his injuries and fully discloses his day to day pain. Exposes weakness to his opponents. Not a winner in my book.

yea i just don't want the same post-2008 crap about how the only reason we won was cause bynum didn't play.  Now the talk is all about his knee, and people are already trying to point at that if(when) the Lakers lose.

A blow out win would be fun... but, yeah, two more wins by any margin will be just dandy!

Thats how I feel. If you have a guy that is injury prone, you have to live with the good and bad. That's on LA to not have a servicable back-up. Maybe instead of getting Ron they could have used that $ for a center.

We can turn around and say if KG was 100% or if Sheed didn't have back pain, or Perk's knees were healthy. Or if all our guys stayed healthy during the year we might have had HC.

Bynum wouldn't have mattered in 08 and if they let us play physical for the remaining games, he won't matter this time either.
Back to wanting Joe fired.

I don't think there will be a blowout, unless it's the clinching game and it looks over before the end of the 4th so one team just throws in the towel.

Boston needs 3 of the Big 4 to have a great game in order to blow out the Lakers, and I don't see that happening.

Maybe we'll see some DJ Mebenga or whatever his name is. Stakes are just as high in game five .. .. no time to get complacent C's!
