Celts basketball or Vols football - i'm all in - my heart is with both those teams because they have been with me since i was a kid - you know how your first love is - and these "first loves" have stayed with me.
so ................ games are either very enjoyable (well played where the Celts are leading most of the way), ecstatic (Celts playing great and blowing out a quality opponent, or agony (Celts not playing well, struggling).
great wins and i'm on top of the world for a couple of days, bad losses (last nite) can ruin a week (after the Finals 1987 game 4 loss vs Lakers, after McHale lost the rebound out of bounds that led to Johnson's winning hook shot, i drove around knoxville for a couple of hours in the middle of the nite to try to calm down). sometimes, i've got that "jerry west syndrome" in that sometimes it just gets too agonizing to watch.
so yeah, watching a game, i'm all in, cheering, clapping, cursing, throwing things, celebrating, yelling at the players, yelling at Doc, definitely yelling at the refs, cursing the other team (especially bryant and lebron, used to be kareem or laimbeer, before that the knicks, kareem with the bucks, before that chamberlain and baylor).
so to answer your question - very emotional.
