Kobe: 10-29 from the field

Bynum+Gasol: 9 & 13 points respectively; 3 blocks combined (Kobe had 3 blocks by himself)

Artest: 2 points

Lakers: 2-15 from down town (13%)

How can you not win this game?

This was the quintessential game that the Celtics wanted from the Lakers.

- Kobe shooting a poor percentage and taking volume shots

- Weak production from the Lakers twin towering big men

- Holding the Lakers under 100 points (91) Really should have been 84 if we didn't give up when the game wasn't over.

Seriously, how can we not win this game.

The Lakers handed this game on a silver platter for us to take.

Good post.

The Lakers are likely to play a lot better next game.

We really needed game three.

We really have no one to point to the finger at execept our selves.

There were certain job descriptions that we did not fulfill or execute properly.

Had we done our jobs it would be the Laker fans crapping over their own players and questioning Phil Jackson.

The Lakers were busting their rear ends, and the Celtics were too.  These are two very competitive teams.  Last night was incredibly intense - even when the Lakers were going up big in the first half.

The Lakers were not giving this one away.  The Celts tried their [dang]dest and came up short.
Yup

If (I know, "if, if, if") Ray had hit just three of his shots from downtown, we end up with 93 points and a 2-1 lead. Alas, it was not to be. The Celts need to keep their heads up and play like they have done for most of the three first rounds and if they do, Banner 18 is not that far away.

Well you can always look at it this way, had we taken the 2-1 lead, we might have lost the next two, but this way our team has pressure to win the next two in a row.  They always perform best under pressure.

Right guys.... right?  :-X

Pierce and Allen no shows. Ya can tell it's towards the ends of careers can't you? Brilliant flashes and flat out no shows. So now the media says this was the game that counted. Uhhh huh. Three games ago it was the first game that counted till we won the 2nd one. Although we blew Home advantage no one in their right mind would think we'd beat LA 3 in a row. Especially with our lousy home record. Now we need 2 wins at home. They can close us out here in Boston or we win 1 and need 2 in LA which would be insurmountable. But mathematically possible. Anything can happen.

As far as Rondo has come the League's best point guards have put up good numbers against him. He gambles and is rangy.

I expect Koby to get his 30 or so but we should beat the rest and we haven't been convincing about it. We haven't been in sync for awhile. Pierce,Allen and KG are taking different routes. Why would Allen take 13 shots after missing say 6 in a row? If someone(s) else takes those other 7 shots and makes half of them the outcome may have been different.

I like Bryant's game. He's a perfect Pro. He's obsessed with Basketball. 4 rings is unbelievable. 5 incredible. Hope the Celts can stall him. Our future is bright but won't be in this arena again for awhile. Enjoy. Win or lose.

Our guys are not supposed to play this way.

Not supposed to miss shots...

Not supposed to walk the ball up...

We didn't do basic jobs.
