This game would so different if he goes 3/4 from the line instead of 1/4. Its a not just a  cliche cause every point does matter. Especially since the refs rarely call fouls on the Lakers. Not only does it help the team in the long run, but its also great for your own psyche. When you go to the line, please make them.

Rajon has gone from R1: 83%, R2: 66%, ECF: 58%, to Finals: 25%

This is obviously not a good trend.

WHAT? Its mind-boggling. Nice find.

Perk is humiliating Rondo this series. Starting Point-Guarding shooting 25% from the line while starting Center is 73% from the line.

Yeah I noticed this trend during the ECF and it was troubling then now it's downright alarming. He has to focus at the line and go back to whatever was working for him at the ending of the season/start of the playoffs. He needs to be making those FTs. Splitting a pair or missing both won't cut it.
Tommy: He's got a line about me. Tell him the line.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

Pretty frightening numbers...and I was so excited to see his impproment in the first round. Hopefully he gets it up to closer to around at least that high 60s number.

Honestly the poor FT shooting may not deter Rondo from driving to the basket, but may in fact deter Rondo from seeking or absorbing contact.

What Rondo may end up doing is contorting his body for more high difficulty degree circus shots that have almost no chance to go in.

Hopefully it doesn't come to that.

Hopefully, as a player, one wouldn't think that way and just play the game.

Just have to make the FT's.

This is Rondo's team. Haven't you seen the halftime show. Ray went 0-13 and Celtics had an opportunity to steal the game. If Rondo plays well, its a guaranteed win.

Well the FT thing for Rondo is more for his entire "rest of career" type thing.

Rondo had a tough night all the way around, getting abused by the old bald man on the defensive end in the fourth quarter as well. Rondo's game has improved a bunch, but I still want to see him improve his defensive effort on the pick and roll.

His free throw shooting is absolutely abysmal, as is the entire team's. We shoot any kind of acceptably from the foul line and we're playing with the lead late. Changes the entire complexion of the game.

He gets better with the more FTA he has.

It seems like he always bricks the first couple, but as he moves towards more FTA he gets in a groove and starts hitting them.

Yeah, Rondo's terrible shooting at the FT line is getting really frustrating, so many missed opportunities and key points losts... hopefully he gets back on track and shoots them like he did against Cleveland.

It definitely is his Achilles heel right now.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

Just to be accurate. Rondo is 4-13 or 31 percent from the line in this series. Clearly that is horrendous and unacceptable for any player in the NBA -- whether the worst shooting center in the NBA, or one of the top point guards. I don't get it.

I could be wrong, but it appears as though Rondo has changed his routine yet again. When he was making his free throws earlier in the playoffs, i noticed that he would bend down and stretch his back before coming up to shoot the free throw. I haven't seen him do this for a while, and thus, his free throw shooting has reverted back to crap. If that routine was working for him, why did he go away from it? Or maybe he still does it and i'm not paying attention. Who knows.
