This is pathetic.

Paul has shown no fire, no passion, no energy this entire series.  He looks like he's just going through the motions, coasting through the first 3 games of the Finals on cruise control.  Doc isn't even bothering to run plays for him anymore.  He does not resemble the player from '08.  He's playing like he's 100 years old.  It's NOT the defense of Artest.  Paul couldn't do anything against Luke Walton either.

Kevin can be counted on to show up 33% of the time.  1/3 of the time he's KG, the other 2/3 he's grandpa Garnett huffin' and puffin' to get up... and down the court.

Ray can be counted on to show up 33% of the time.  1/3 of the time he's Ray Allen, the other 2/3 he's playing dead.  0-13 from the field.  I half expected to see a coffin near the Celtics' bench.

Based on the rotations of these three dinosaurs, Paul is due.  Paul has played like a 100 year old man three straight games now.  I expect Paul to have a good game 4, with Kevin and Ray back to playing like 100 year old men.  Combined 4-19 from the field.  That kind of stuff.  Then one of the three will step up and have a good game 5, while the other two will play like rotting corpses who couldn't care less.

You're being overdramatic but I take your point.

To piggyback on it -- people shouldn't be surprised when our aging stars can't bring it every night against elite competition. This is what decline looks like.

Pierce has blown almost half of the finals. He would need a serious recovery to even have an average series.

I hope people remember this when they want to extend his contract for big money.

I agree that Artest is not stopping Paul.

Paul has missed open mid range shots and Paul has been taken out of flow by the fouls.

Paul is still there on the defensive end though.

If Paul was "100 years old", Artest would be having a big offensive game and he's not even close.

Yeah, b/c whenever the Celtics lose people automatically revert back to the age. It's funny though we don't hear about how old they are when they are knocking off younger teams like the Cavs and Magic. Give me a break with garbage threads like these. Minus one tee pee. ;)

Well the Big 3 def aren't young guys, but I don't think age is the reason that they all haven't showed up in one game.

The foul trouble is limiting them from developing their rhythm; and am hoping that next game they will play a bit smarter and try not to pick up some silly fouls.

P.S. As much as I love Pierce's swagger and confidence....seriously dude save the silly comments and let your game do the talking. Pierce is yet to have a good game, and am hoping its the next one with everyone showing up to play some Celtic basketball.

I think apart of Paul's confidence is he sees that he and KG hadn't played well in the 1st 2 games and they split down in LA.

Paul probably felt very confident knowing and believing that he and KG would pick up their game at home and win.

The age thing might have something to do with "recovery time" in between games, but I feel has very little to do with the in game happenings.
