Everyone on the C's, yes including the bench guys, needs to show up and give it their all.

The maddening part about this particular series is that the Lakers really aren't that great of a team. Sorry, I don't buy the renewed Gasol nonsense and sure, Fisher's gonna do something, but let's get one thing clear ... when the Celts play their brand of B-ball, the Lakers revert to Kobe ball and we win! Kobe had years to work with Odom, over the summers, and make them the new Jordan-Pippen tandem but he didn't. This Laker's squad is one man and a bunch of role players. The Celtics, on the other hand, are a great team!

If we don't get our acts together for games 4 and 5, then it's our own fault.

Not over. We made it much more difficult but nothing is over. C's were also down 1:2 to the Cavs but pulled through.

Good Point. And True.

Ya, it's over, just like it was when the C's fell behind 2-1 vs. Cleveland after an embarrassing home blowout.  No chance.   ::)

2-3-2 format makes it a lot tougher than the 2-2-1-1-1 format.

Lakers aren't the Cavaliers. Kobe won't give up.

remember all those "window's closed" threads during the regular season...??
well, I think the window's closed after tonights loss and I can pretty much say that Derek Fisher closed it...

I don't think I will ever hate a guy so much, he represents everything I hate most in this life! I have never wished something bad on someone, ever in my life, but I can tell you, I'm extremely close to doing so... :-X

How can you hate Derek Fisher LOL?

He is probably one of the least talented starting NBA guards over the last decade, but makes the most of his talents at the most important times.

Agreed.

The bench showed up tonight, but it was most of our starters who didn't show up or were taken out of the game due to foul trouble.

It should be but I'm not so sure it is for this team. Maybe there's a reason we're the 1st team to make it to the finals with a better road than home record. It'll help us beat the odds I hope.

I have resigned myself to the fact that we have some bizarre addiction to road games that makes us give back homecourt advantage as soon as we get it. Now that we've made sure we get our fix at least one last time this season, we can stop messing around and get it together.

Man, I would hope when you are citing evidence you wouldn't choose your proof as being that which was already disproven. Those "window's closed" posts have already been proven erroneous. Have a little faith. A long way to go. But don't use an already wrong theory as your backup, come on now.

If I was a Lakers' fan, I would probably love the guy...
but look: he is a flopper, he plays dirty defense at times and, as you said, he makes outrageous plays in crunch time despite being an overall mediocre player... if you are any other than a Lakers' fan, how can you love this kind of stuff, its too darn frustrating for the opposing team!! I can stand losing a game by Kobe, but not Fisher...

This game made me so angry that I feel like picking up the ironing board and taking a huge bite out of it.

well, i still believe that no matter what, even if we win the title this year, the window will be closed next year... I don't doubt we're gonna have a very good, competitive team, but I strongly believe that was the last chance for this specific group of players to get another ring! That being said, I think that game 3 decided the outcome of the series, we should be praying for a miracle to happen now... :-\

If Ray makes 2 shots tonight we probably win. Just bad bad shooting. Offense stunk. And we barely lost. Throw in the towel if you like but I won't be by your side while you do so.

So let me get this straight: if Ray makes just two or three shots in Game 3, we win (instead of barely losing). And as I recall, if a couple guys played only slightly better in Game 1, we would've won that one. So that means that if even half the team had showed up in each game, boston would be up 3-0. Instead, though, we're down 2-1. You see now why some of us are so frustrated, and why we're not too hopeful that boston will "flip the switch" for three of the next four games?

I hope the players don't have the same mentality ...

And there's the problem: if the celtics had the right mentality in all three games, they could be up 3-0. Instead, they check out for prolonged stretches, such as the last 8:30 of the first quarter in Game 3.

These threads crack me up. I saw the same garbage on Lakers fans message boards after game 2. Thursday is game 4 by the way.

This has been a crazy and unpredictable series. Your Celtics team is better than you are giving them credit and certainly better than they played tonight. I wouldn't lose hope so easy.

And newsflash to everyone out there. Home court really doesn't matter in this series. These two teams have a different breed of athlete on their squads. None of these guys are phased by the bright lights. Neither team will back down.

I keep seeing these "if" statements. "If Ray hits 3 shots." "If PP scored 20." "If we hit our open looks early in the game". FELLAS, we can be here talking about "if's" all we want. But this is the NBA Finals, it all comes down to execution, not "if's". Whichever team executes better will win. And so far this series, the Lakers have been executing better. On another note, what "if Kobe didn't get those foul calls in game 2?" then the Lakers might of won and the series would be 3-0 now.

See? Just take the loss for what it is (poor execution) and get ready for Game 4
