"Ur-gen-cy!"

I'm sorry, but the C's are their own worst enemies on the court. I'm worried they'll come out too relaxed as they did in Game 1, so I wanna hear the crowd push the sense of urgency so the guys can get into attack mode.

I like many of the chants suggested, but probably most favor the 3-second count.  This does have the ability of getting into people's heads -- players and refs.

I know this thread is in fun, but after the Jason Kidd wifebeater chant I know nothing is off-limits for some C's fans.  I wouldn't participate in a chant that either insults someone's looks (Llama, Ugly Sister), insults someone's relative (Ugly Sister), or could be painful for a player's children to hear (Wifebeater, No Means No).

Meh, if the authorities or media don't hold a player accountable for his actions, I don't have any problem with fans doing it. David Ortiz deserves every 'roid chant he has coming to him.

i would like a three seconds chant for bynum every time he is in the paint, but i would hate for 20,000 people to be completely hoarse by 9:30 PM.
It would make the game kinda annoying if he actually starts following the rules

1  2  .....

1  2  .....

1  2  .....

1  2  .....

1  2  .....

1  2  .....

Fine by me, it will keep the game more honest.
Celtics fan for life.

family stuff i agree with, but the other stuff - if they players don't care about their own families, why should the fans?

You do something horrible, you should be held accountable. Just because they used high powered attorneys to bob & weave the law, doesn't mean squat to me.

I'm hoping for a "MVP!" chant for Rondo near the end of the game...
I think the "MVP" chant is played out.   Why do they always chant "MVP"?  I'd rather they just chant RON-DO... RON-DO... RON-DO...  I'd get goose bumps.  Did everyone seem to forget the old days when they would chant Larry?

Why stop there?  How about 5 second inbounds chants, and 8 second half court chants?

The problem is, these would actually serve as warnings, and would be better served when the Celts had the ball.

Remember the 10 second countdowns when Mourning shot his free throws?
Yup

I agree with you here. I think "No Means No" is amusing on first blush, but a whole arena full of people chanting it, would, to me, trivialize the crime of rape. Imagine some girl/woman who's been through that awful experience that also happens to be in the audience. How does that feel to her?

We should stick to throwing batteries at Kobe. That's the only logical course of action.  :)

Obviously people can choose whether to care about the player's family members or not.  I'm really not trying to cast aspersions -- just saying I wouldn't want to risk hurting or embarrassing a player's child in a public way.  Doesn't matter to me if the player acted thoughtlessly or lawlessly -- his children already suffer from it -- they don't need me to add to it.
