I am hoping that game four of the Orlando series proves to be the biggest greatest lesson for our 2010 Boston Celtics this year.

Because when you are up 3-0 and you have a chance to close out the series, AT HOME, TO GO TO THE FINALS, you do not lose game four on your onw court. Losing a game like that just opens up a whole can or worms, which we clearly saw with baby going down, Marquis going down, KG and Pierce getting hammered more, etc.

If I'm Doc?

1. I want to see bodies on the floor, heads flying and our guys diving head long after everything. I want to see soem real smash mouth basketball. This isn't about talent now, it's about mental toughness to take each game, one by one.

2. Focus, execution, work, work, work, work.

3. I want to see game seven intensity for every minute of each of the next three games. If you're tired I'll get you some rest.

4. I want a war, a blood bath on the court.

5. I want three games of hell in a jungle for the Lakers.

You don't get chacnes like this very often. Three games at home to raise an NBA championship banner. #18. You need to go out take it from them every minute of each of the next three games. This is it for #18 and your legacy; earn it every minute, take it and raise it!

I am hoping these guys learned very well the lesson of not closing out Orlando in game four of the conference finals. This is the exact same situaiton, just with more at stake.

#18 is there, how badly do they want it?

  • Doc could learn a thing or two from Norman Dale
I think Game 3 against Cleveland might be the bigger lesson.  We can't rest on our laurels about our accomplishments; a split means nothing if you don't win your home games.

agreed...

I know it's "really" hard to beat a team 3 straight games at home, but I think it's mental.

1. Game three we look at as a game seven, bring everything.

2. Game four, we know if we can get this one they're going to start getting really tight...as we'd be up 3-1...all the ghost start coming back...

3. Game 5? Teeth kicking time....anothe game seven mentality...

I think we have the talent to win three straight against these guys at home.

I think it will depend on our mental toughness & mental discipline...

I'm not the only one who is nervous about this game.  Home court hasn't been so kind to this team this year.  Well at least it's not a Sunday!

Agreed as well re being nervous about this game.

Us winning tonight or not is all mental

That's why I am hoping they learned their lesson with Game three against the Cavs as Hobbs said ans also with game four against Orlando...

..and they come out with huge, huge energy, focus and intensity.

The ideal scenario is too crush them tonight and get the Lakers inside their own heads for game four...
