+7 to -9.  How the heck does a 21-to-5 run happen?

The NBA, where sorry excuses for referees happen.

Seriously, the Celtics did some things wrong but when you can't even look at the other team for fear of sending them to the free-throw line, what do you do?

Dude, come on! It's not the referees. It's missed jumpers missed rotations and bad ball movement.

I'm sorry but, that statement is extremely ignorant, especially when I acknowledged that the Celtics weren't doing everything right. When you have as many starters in foul trouble as we do and, when the free-throw discrepancy is already as large as it is, there is something wrong with the officiating.

There haven't been many bad calls on the Celtics.

Honestly, if you think the refs are the problem here, well... I don't know what to tell you.

Well, I do. But if you listen to everything else I'm saying besides stuff about the officials, you would see that I also acknowledge that we aren't playing well. The refs are affecting our flow.

This was not the game to let KG rot on the bench for so long. He was feeling it.

It's really hard to play much worse than this club is playing right now, on both ends of the floor.

And where are Garnett and Rondo? Let's get the starters on the floor.

Rondo was lucky not to get called for a charge there.

Good couple of possessions here. Starting to get a bit of urgency back into their play.

finally some defensive effort and cohesive offense and lo and behold, they're cutting into the lead.  with luck, they'll be even going into the break

Well, we're still not making shots but our D's level has picked it up (the fact that the refs are not whistling on every tick tack contact is helping too). Let's make you FT's Rajon and keep digging this lead to comeback!

Glad Fisher's flopping didn't get rewarded that time.

Yup. This is an awful effort since about the 9:00 mark of the first quarter.

Lesson Learned (Again):  Don't have 4 bench players in all at once.

Alright...Rondo and KG back in...getting out in transition, D is picking up. Let's put together a run here and things will be a-ok.

And, jeez: Celtics are playing poorly, missing open shots, bad rotations on D, Lakers have gotten a few happy whistles, we were hurt by having to sit Perk, Rondo on the bench...I think that covers it. Let's move on...there is an NBA Finals game going on...and we're rooting for the same team here. ;)
