Sad to say are our 2 best frontcourt players right now.. and they're not even starters. :-\

Sheed is playing great and Baby's hustle is amazing.

Please come back, KG. :'(

I just wish Baby was a bit more selective with the types of shots he takes and I which he improved on how he goes about getting a shot of. But can't fault the guy much with the level of energy he's bringing and effort and rebounding.

I don't know why he doesn't use his Baby Hook more often. It's been pretty much money every time, yet he stubbornly tries to shoot over players much taller than him and forcing layups that are easily blockable, and if no foul is called he just bricks it off the glass. This wouldn't be much a problem if the guy wasn't taking 13 shots in a game... we got so many weapons in this team, and so many players that rely on being in good rhythm for him to waste shots like that, particularly with little ball movement.

I agree.  Don't know what happened to Baby's hook shot.  Not sure where it's gone.  It looked pretty good to me.

He did go back to the ' Baby Hook ' the possession following the block party (which I'm sure was source of consternation for some ' fans ' ).  Either way he needs to keep taking it up (regardless of the unimportant block shots ) and forcing the issue from time to time.  Misses/Blocks become 3 pt plays and leads to teams getting in the penalty.

He did have the nice O rebound and assist to ray for the 3.

I don't mind the block party... he's getting inside rebounds. If he tries to go out with it its likely to get stolen. Keep going up strong and try to get a foul.

Also liked how they got him for 2 next play.

He needs to attack the defenders body more if he is going to be blocked so much.  Create chances for fouls.

They are playing well.

They have, in a number of ways, been our two best bigs this series, but you can't abandon Perk & KG.

As much as I love Davis' hustle and what he's providing on the offensive end, he's a liability on defense.  Of the 4 bigs we have (I don't count Sheldon), he's our 3rd best at guarding Bynum and our worst at guarding Gasol.  In the first quarter, when KG got in foul trouble, Davis came in and Gasol royally lit him up.  He just doesn't have the length to guard Gasol.  He doesn't have the length to guard Bynum either (evident by that ally-oop where Bynum practically stood still and caught the ball next to the hoop), but at least he can body him.

I'm not sure what Rasheed's back status is, but he's been our best defender on either Gasol or Bynum (when he's not getting called for ticky-tac fouls).  I'd also like to see the Celtics work the ball into the post.  He could provide some needed post play and potentially get some of their bigs in foul trouble.

Rondokid,

I'm looking at your signature picture, and doesn't that look like KG in a Lakers uniform behind Kobe?  I hope not!

Odom complaining about fouls I think.

I wanted to give Baby a hug a few times.  He tries so hard that it's amazing at times.  I'm proud to have a hustler like that on the Celtics.

Happy with both guys' play last night.  I think Simmons said this first but a key sequence in the 4th was Baby getting blocked 3 straight times, then coming right back down and scoring over Bynum.  The guy has no fear whatsoever in big moments, which is huge.  Now if we could just stretch him 2 inches taller...

That was a great play.  But in general I firmly believe that he's better than only KG at guarding Bynum.  Both Perk & Rasheed do a better job.  It's tough b/c I think Davis is a bit of a liability on the defensive end.  He's still a net plus overall, so I say play him, but the Celtics should avoid having him on Gasol at all costs.
