I had discussed this with my friend before game 1, and the 47-0 statistic, while great, is overblown.
Let me put it another way: Of the 5 or so times that Phil Jackson has been knocked out of the playoffs, he lost the first game.
My point is that while impressive, it isn't THAT unimaginable for him to lose a series (especially this series) if he wins the first game.
Also, TP birdbrain, because I had been thinking the same thing about how sweet it'd be to win AND break his streak. We've already given the Lakers their first home loss this playoffs, let's keep adding to it.
I'm not so sure we ruined Miami so much as accelerated their plans to rebuild around Wade. Cleveland is definitely ruined b/c of us, as well as the perception of Lebron (to a degree).
In regards to Orlando, I can assure that there is a lot of second guessing going on with them now. I think they realize that what they have isn't good enough to win it all, which is why years ago I had called the Rashard Lewis contract the "worst contract in the NBA." They had a very good center tied up and lots of cap space... primed to build a championship team... and they blew it on Rashard Lewis. The year of his contract he wasn't even the best player on the Sonics... Ray Allen was! I live an hour from Orlando, so I hear the rumblings
