You know guys, I was having a discussion with somebody over the finals game on Sunday, about how my once complete and utter hatred of Kobe has been FAR surpassed by LeBron.  Its surprising to me because when LeBron was "the prospect" and when he first came into the league I was all over the bandwagon. I got myself a LeBron jersey and I wore it all the time. God, thank god I out grew it, or Id burn it. I absolutely just can't stand the guy. We all know the reasons...the egotistic attitude, the free agency desire over a championship desire, his strive for power...

Kobe on the other hand, I have ALWAYS hated but I have found myself coming to respect him more and more. First off the guy is a WINNER, the 4 rings don't lie. Secondly, he is just a pure assasin on the court and has that Jordan instinct in him when the game is on the line. His work ethic is just unbelievable as well...

Don't get me wrong, I hate both of these guys with a passion. But as Celtics fans who would you find yourself rooting for if the Finals indeed turned out to be the over-hyped LA vs Cleveland?  Kobe or LeBron? I know it is hard to answer this when we all bleed green but I am just curious to know if Cleveland or more so LeBron has turned into public enemy number one as opposed to Kobe and the Lakers.

THis is an easy one. As deep as my hatred for LA goes. Im no homer. Im a true fan of the game of basketball and kobe is simply a better player.

Lebrons game is completely based on his physical gift. he dominates in the lane because of it no matter whose guarding him.

Kobe on the other hand is very Jordan like.  Hes the most skilled player in the league and as he said in an interview, he stole all his moves from past greats, Larry Bird included.

Skill and Hard work > physical gift any day

Lebron needs to learn a little humility and go to LA and learn how to be a champion for the next 3 years. Then, when Kobe retires with 7 rings, Lebron can take over the team and lead the Lakers to 20+ championship banners.

A great comparison of Lebron is to James Worthy. A great, skilled player who needs to be surrounded by other great players. When Magic, Kareem & Co. all retired, James was, well, what Lebron is today.

Kobe hands down. He wants to win and basketball is his #1 thing, not business. Not to mention he is clutch.
Lebron is a great player, but he doesn't have "it"

I hate them both, don't get me wrong. But I do respect Kobe as a player and if I could have either one in a playoff series, I'd pick Kobe 10/10 times.

As a player I hate Kobe more, but respect him more. As a person I hate Kobe more and respect him less.

I hate Kobe more.

I think Lebron is a better player.

I think Kobe was more focused on winning this season.

Whose team do we get with them?

Lakers+Lebron > Lakers+Kobe > Cavs+Lebron > Cavs+Kobe.

I agree.

I don't think Lebron completely gets it yet.
