So wait, it's straight up? C's win by at least 1, you get 50K?

Phew, good luck. That's a lotta money. Rondo was arguably fine for Game 1, so I'd figure he'd be ok for Game 2 also.

The refs will probably be announced some time tomorrow.

$50,000 bet on a basketball game??  :o :o

I think I can safely say that unless you are making upwards towards $10 million a year, that you have a serious problem and should seek help.

It may be hard to believe, but if the celtics win, I will be as happy as you, even if I am not betting any money on the game

Hey Yang, before you take the plunge make sure of the odds that you are getting.

In any money line betting (i.e. picking the team to win outright and getting odds depending on whether you pick the favorite or the underdog), when you bet the favorite, you have to put risk more $$$$ to get less. In the link I have provided below for example, one casino has you risk 250 to win 100 on the lakers and any mutiples, thereof (e.g. 500 to win 200 or 25,000 to win 10,000) and 100 to win 220 on the underdog celtics and any multiples thereof. http://eapicks.com/2010/06/04/boston-celtics-versus-la-lakers-game-2-point-spread-money-line-and-over-under-sunday-june-6th-2010-nba-pro-basketball-playoffs-las-vegas-and-offshore-betting-odds/

A Lakers money line supporters will lay -250 at the Stations Casinos and Las Vegas Hilton.

Bettors taking the road team Boston Celtics on the money line can receive +220 odds at the MGM Mirage properties for the road team to win game 2 of the NBA Finals with the post spread no factor in the money line bet.

In the scenario and odds listed here, 50k will get you $110K.

Good Luck!!!!! :)

If he is betting that much money I am pretty sure he understands how money lines work. Also, his second post seems to indicate he has money on both sides from a little line shopping, thus he is not really risking 50k.

I'd like to put 50k on the fact the the OP is a teenager and couldn't scrounge up 50 dollars to bet on the C's let alone 50k…  ::)

Rondo needs to have kg screen him off whenever kobe is guarding cause he is clearly affectedby kobes D.  Once fish or anyone else is guarding, he will blow by him exposing the lakers D, as well as picking up fouls on lakers bigs

Yeah most knowledgeable gamblers don't usually refer to payoffs as 1 for 3. It's almost always in Moneyline form (+220 or -240). That and he didn't say what currency the bet was in...that could be a lot less if it's not US$. 50k S.Korean Won is about $41.
