Some Quotes:

"Apparently a man whose name they were chanting at Fenway last night" ---> To introduce Scalabrine

"I dont want to get in trouble by the FAA" ----> About team flights and keeping teammates comfortable

"They gave us a royal buttwhopping yesterday" Describing the 1st team beating the 2nd team during a practice scrimmage

"I think we're the underdogs ... A lot of that has to do with us not having home-court advantage." ---> About predictions

"For this team, I don't think it is a disadvantage" ----> About starting on the road in a 2-3-2 series format

"For us to win, we play physical.  Playing physical doesn't mean fouling, playing physical means you don't give up any inches, when a guy comes down you fight for position at all times, and thats what being physical is." ----> On necessity of being physical team

"As all the series go on, we don't prepare for that until after the first game.  You know like, we do anticipate Derek Fisher guarding Ray Allen, and the logical choice is that Kobe will be on Rajon, but as of right now we haven't really focused anything on that, being ok, we are going to do this or do that...There's always little adjustments we make after Game 1." -----> On game-planning for different matchups

"He (Gasol) is much better than he was in '08, and he is much better than he was last year...Whatever he is doing is working, whether it's just training, its just like he got tougher...That's going to be a big match-up for us." ---> On toughness of Gasol

"I mean, he has too, its not the time...I think Perk has played better when he with the problem, he is more calm, a less emotional player...I think he plays better calm, and I haven't been wrong yet (laughter)." ---> On Perk playing with 6 technicals and whether he can stay calm

"Not to get on LA fans or anything like that, there are some fans there who are good, in the upper upper section I think those fans are great fans, in Staples, I guess they're loud.  It's not like the Lakers home-court advantage, I dont think they have lost a game at home, but its not the same.  It's not like they are loud, and crazy like Boston, like where they start at the beginning of the game and go until the end, its not like that at all.  They want to be entertained, its an entertainment kind of city.  They want to be entertained by the plays, the spectacular stuff... They'll cheer, they'll go on little spurts of like 30 minutes where its like crazy loud, but nothing substained.  It's a very very very different atmosphere." ---> On playing at the Staples Center

"Should I go up and ask him for a dap, do you think he would give it to me?" ----> On trying to talk to Jack Nicholson before the game.

"I know Penny Marshall absolutely loves me, she wants one of my jerseys, and said she was going to get me into one of her movies, but I'm still waiting.  Host -- Thats like when the lunch lady says you are hot." ---> On meeting other celebrities in LA

Paraphrase:  He is talking about how the show has helped his popularity, and occasionally at the stadium he sees "Marry me Scal signs.  Well one recent games, he sees a girl holding a "Marry me Rondo" sign and the girl is hot.  And he is like "[dang], anytime I get one of those signs I can't do better than a 5 or a 6."

------------------------------------------------------

Figured I'd give you the run-down if you can't listen to it, and as I re-listened to it.  It is very interesting, very entertaining, and highly informative.  If you have 15 minutes or so, definitely give it a listen.

Hey! Thanks!

Good summary. Scally is a great sport. I hope we see him on the court soon; even if it's just for old time's sake.
