i believe all the talk coming from gasol is going to do to KG what all the talk about gasol being soft did to fire him up

Holy smokes, did you guys see the look KG had in his eyes?

He wants to take apart Gasol and redeem himself so badly.

The team has to redeem itself on the defensive end.

Exactly my thoughts. Man KG looks ticked off and I am loving it.

Sunday can't come any sooner and I am really looking forward to seeing us defensively dominate and own the game.

Sure, his heart may say one thing, but that doesn't mean his legs can keep up. He ain't anything near what he used to be. He hasn't been playing well this postseason, but its been covered up by us winning.

So 2 games into the NBA Finals, KG needs trash talk to step his game up?

Sorry, but I don't think Pau's comments are going to help KG's surgically repaired knee...

Look the Lakers came out trying to redeem their loss in game 6 in 2008. They played with great energy and kudos to them for that. But energy and intensity ebbs and flows over the course of the series. A couple more stops in the first quarter and momentum might have swung the other way. You never know.

We will respond and make this a series. Just when it looks like we're taking control, the Lakers will respond. It's amazing how the perception of a series can change in the course of one game..

  • KG IS THE KING
There is no question in my mind KG is fired up. The real question is will his body allow him to do what his mind wants to do. He was clearly out of gas in game 1 and expecting him to go harder will just burn him out even faster. I love KG but we fans have to admit we have already seen the bet of KG in a Celtics uniform, circa 2008, and he will no longer be the same player. I am tired of all the in-denial people, thinking KG will become the 08 KG. And when they finally see it in front of their eyes that the 08 KG stayed in 08 and this current KG is just a regular PF, they get disappointed and complain. Just accept KG as a regular starter and no longer a super star and everyone will be pleased.

On another note, the KG of game 1 is just not KG. The 2010 KG is one who plays solid defense, grab 7+ boards, passes well on offense and hits his jumpers. He did none of those...

KG definitely knows what he needs to do ... the big question is whether or not his body will still allow him to do it. I think he still has what it takes, and was, in fact, playing some of his best ball at the end of the season. I think we'll see the Big Ticket we all know and love in Game 2.

Enough with the health stuff, KG looked slower but no so much that he's done. It was his attitude! he was question himself, never taking the first shot, taking bad shots instead of attacking through the contact.

MAN UP KG! ATTTTACKKK!

I agree.  I hope KG learned how to box out in the last couple of days. :-\

"Who is he?" - well, KG, we'll find out who he (Gasol) is on Sunday when you either put him back in his place, or he effectively hangs your big-time boots up.
