KG sucks -- period.

Just 14.9 ppg. 8.2 rpg. in the playoffs so far.

Those are the numbers of a scrub PF.

Get rid of this scrub!

He didn't just start playing like a scrub against the Lakers.  He's been playing like a scrub all playoffs long!  It's just that the Celtics haven't faced any good PFs who could exploit the incompetence of KG until now.

If KG doesn't average over 20 points and 12 boards the Celtics have no chance of winning this series.

His inability to score from POINT BLANK RANGE while unguarded twice was an embarrassment that should see his lame a$$ shipped out of town the moment the Lakers win the Finals.

KG = loser!

I hope you're joking? KG is still crucial to this team's success and if you can't see that then I'm afraid you don't understand basketball.

Just take a chill pill and realise that KG is human and he had a bad game against a very good player. Pau is not unstoppable though and if KG AND HIS TEAM MATES make some basic adjustments - like boxing out for instance - he will have much less impact than he did in game 1.

I admit KG was terrible today, but your language I believe is unwarranted.
KG might only average 14 and 8, but he has played tremendous defence on very good offensive players.
In first 2 series, he played pretty good offensively and defensively, in the last round, he struggled offensively.
I would still have KG on this team despite his performance today.
Anything is possible!!!

You should show some respect, KG had a bad game and there are no excuses, hopefully game 2 is different... and yes, this was a terrible hollywood product, just like the OP

Go Celtics!

TP.
Threads like this are ridiculous.
He didn't play well today - I think everyone would agree on some level.
That said, he is and will be pivotal to our success in this series. Without KG we're eliminated well before the Finals. Much like 2009.

I think overreaction and anger leads to this type of thread.

Celtics need KG to show up.

Yeah while I would never get rid of the guy I was imploring Doc to sit him by the 4th quarter. He was simply inneffective while Wallace was doing his job defensively and on the boards. If Bynum continues to play well and KG doesn't look any better, our best matchup is Wallace on Pau and Perk on Bynum.

Then again we can't win if KG is ineffective so here's to hoping he had one bad game.

Edit: Wow I typed that too quickly. I believe KG will be fine but he was bad last night. I have no reason to belive he wont get it back for game 2. He was jumping and sprinting fine. His timing and more importantly his confidence was off.

Did CelticsBlog turn into WEEI while I was sleeping?

KG carried us against Cleveland, and has pretty much played lock down defense the entire playoffs outside of last night.  Now, he's a scrub and a loser?  I don't get it.

...so that we can go back to being the kind of team we were last year?

does this mean the Cavs should get rid of Lebron, the Magic should get rid of Supergirl, and the Colts should get rid of Manning?

No kidding. Ray being in foul trouble hurt too. KG may have been too anxious. It happens. Even Howard.
