I expect that the Hornets probably low balled him.

If TT is looking at a below average salary, and a terribly constructed roster that is on the down slope, I can see why he's hesitant to take the job, especially when they're giving him ultimatums.
Also, when your future superstar player is already making grumblings about not wanting you there but wanting someone else there, that's a recipe for disaster. It's a good decision and if Chicago really wants him, that's his best landing spot.

I think NO took themselves out of the running... Was it all just a ploy to appease CP3 and go after Monty Williams? Idk. But I think Thibs made the right decision overall. I definitely can see him in Chicago and I hope they offer him the job.
