Doc says Rasheed still isn't right. Wasn't allowed to have any contact at practice today. Rondo went for abt 80% of prax. Is feeling better

Very bad news... Sheed still has time to recover and heal before Thursday but we need him to be as healthy as possible to have a major impact in the Finals. Here is hoping he gets better soon!

Rondo only 80%?

Could he have gone 100%????

Not good...not good at all.

As long as it's not 75% we're ok, because we all know 75% is quite bad, but 85% should be our goal here.

Well, according to Chris Forsberg now, it was 75%...

Doc said Rondo participated in about 75% of practice. Rasheed went through skeleton, no contact. Marquis out indefinitely. Rest are fine.

Luckily, we still have some time to get them both to 100%. Sheed is tough, I have no doubt that he'll play.

I think most of this is just precaution.  Nothing to worry about.

Participating in 75% of the practice doesn't mean 75% healthy.

And what do all these numbers mean?  85%, 75% right now, I don't care.  This stuff is pretty arbitrary anyways, I just want them to be healthy enough to smack the Lakers Thursday night and throughout the series. I don't worry about their made up percentage of health.

your reading his wrong, Rondo went hard for 80% of the practice then got rest for his injuries... It’s Monday and the game isn’t till Thursday. The kid is just getting his time to recuperate.

And weren't KG and Perk held out of practices earlier in the playoffs and said to be game time decisions (as was Baby?).  I'm not too worried about it.

from celtics hub:

Doc was optimistic about Rondo’s progress since his scary fall on Friday night. Rondo participated in drills and 5 on 5 play with his teammates and was playing on the floor for the media portion of the practice session before sitting out the final 2 minutes, being replaced by Oliver Lafayette on the floor in the starting lineup for the final couple plays on defense as they battled the 2nd team. Rondo looks like he will be close to full strength for Thursday night all things considered.

i didnt realize boston left for LA today at 3....kind of like them getting out there 2 full days earlier to get used to the time change and the hype.

I wouldnt worry about Rondo or Rasheed.

Sure they are both banged up, but the way they are reporting, you would think they have never seen a football injury report.

"Player X hasn't practiced all week, and is a gametime decision," and then week after week Player X has big games.

I'll be worried if both see minimal minutes on Thursday, but for now, I'd say its just precautionary rest.

  • Doc could learn a thing or two from Norman Dale
I'd give Rasheed a nice hammock for the rest of the week, and tell him to rest up.  When he's playing well, our team has a whole different dimension to it.
