if he said that about paul, he should say this about kobe:

"Kobe's idea of a fun night consists of sexually assualting/raping women, while simultaneously committing adultery."

Thing is... Kobe actually chose to go into that hotel room in Colorado and do whatever he did there.

Pierce didn't choose to get stabbed almost to death.

Even if the writer did say Kobe's idea of a fun time was raping/adultery, saying Pierce's idea of a fun time is getting stabbed almost to death is still worse.

I personally dislike people who gripe over the Pierce injury.

Apparently they have never taken what the common person calls a "stinger."

I know when I played football there was one time I took a shot to the knee, thought it was broken, limped around on it, the whole 9 yards.  Three or four minutes later it was at about 95%.

Same thing happened to Pierce.  He probably thought he broke something in there.  Doctor didnt want him walking it. So they carry him, put him in the wheelchair, etc.  And he was fine, and the rest is history.  Get over it.

How do Miami fans feel that D-Wade sat out the end of Game 3 dealing with a cramp?  How about Lebron crying about his elbow during games and how it affects his performance?  Vince Carter left Game 2 with an injury and came back two minutes later fine.

Pierce exaggerates, and I'm fine with that because a lot of times in the NBA, unless you get nailed, you arent getting a call.

The writer can eat it, because Paul Pierce gonna torch the Lakers.

I found the article very humorous and thoroughly enjoyed it.  Especially the part about Ray's mom...not sure that was a  wise move.... going after  a mom...especially this one. (Ray just might light it up in retaliation).  ha ha ha ha

I can't believe there are still morons who think it will ever be OK to publicly joke about Paul's stabbing. What I find stupid about these kind of articles is when they don't bother to use the legitimate reasons to hate the Cs and focus on silly ones where we can say the same or worse about people on their team.
Tommy: He's got a line about me. Tell him the line.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

Some people complained to the editors of the L.A Times and now the story has been erased of the website. Nice to see that they finally saw how pathetic and outrageous this "joke" was.

Wheelchair is hated in LA.

But very, very few people in LA laugh about wheelchair's stabbing.  This "joke" hasn't gone over well in Laker forums the couple times it's been brought up either.

The rest of the article was funny.

Please don't use disparaging nicknames for our players.  We enjoy banter between the two fan bases, but we can't have it devolve / escalate into in-fighting.  Thanks. -RH

It will be even better if they offer a public apology

I don't suppose the full text from the article has been saved somewhere? I missed it the first time around ...

EDIT: Whoops, never mind. Google's cache has it

Fair warning, man:  calling Pierce "Wheelchair" will get you banned.

Please just discuss the teams and the matchups without the disparaging nicknames for our players.

I was making fun of the article Ted Green wrote, the wheelchair reference is right there in the quote on the front page guys posted by a Celtic fan.  But because it's a Laker fan, I get an "OFFICIAL" warning?  I thought you guys said fair discussion would be welcome?

It's right there on the front page talking about the wheelchar and this thread is "reaction to the article".

This is a funny article as most have pointed out, people are even laughing at Ray's momma.  But I can't laugh about it?

In all my other posts, I have not called him wheelchair, except for this one, where Ted Green specifically mentioned it.

The stabbing is not funny as I pointed out.

You called Pierce "Wheelchair" twice.  That's not going to fly here, sorry.  I'm not sure how the fact that the disparaging nickname originated from a Lakers / LA blogger helps you here.

Our rules are here.  Our rules specific to fans of opposing teams are here.

We're pretty strict about enforcing them, and yes, Lakers fans are given less leeway than Celtics fans.  You'll be treated fairly, and Celtics fans won't be allowed to attack you, but there will be no tolerance for even borderline attacks against our team, players, city, or fans.

We're talking about an article by Ted Green and he specifically brought up the wheel chair, it's there quoted on the front page... that's the only reason why I brought it up here.

Celtic fan posts wheelchair, it's all good.  Laker fan brings up wheel chair of the same topic and thread, gets warning.

Very one-sided moderation but I understand your rules towards Laker fans and will abide.

I will go to my other thread and delete the wheel chair post as well.  Thank you for allowing me to post here.
