One of the first two; I'm not really worried about which one.

People can talk all they want about "Phil Jackson's teams never lose if they win Game 1" but the Celtics hadn't lost a series after being up 3-2 in the history of the franchise - until last year.  There's always a first time.

Yep.

I'm sure ORL was feeling invincible, too - until we went in there and took two from them.

It will be tough, but it can be done! If Boston keeps it close, they got it!

Every game is a must win.

Of course it would put us in a tough situation to go in Boston down 0-2 but I don't think it will happen. We will either win one of two or both. And frankly I wouldn't be surprised to see us win both, the Lakers must feel like they are invincible at home (8-0 in the playoffs) but we are the best road team of the league so I feel good about our chances.

My point is, it's pointless to start putting more emphasis on certain games and give you more pressure. You play each game to win it, take it one game at a time and you will be fine.

How about a come-back victory from behind 3-0? That would be very ironic :p

Another key is the Perkins situation. Unless I don't understand the rule, he still gets suspended for his next technical. So one of those cheap double t's that happen in intense games nets him a one game suspension. Right?

Either Game 1 or 2 will do, but I'd rather win game 1. It immediately takes away LA's HCA and puts them in a must win situation for game 2. Plus the doubt it will plant in the weak minded Laker team(everyone not named Kobe or Phil).

Meh. Home court means nothing as far as I'm concerned. This is the two best teams in the league and neither has any problem with going on the others home court. Just... doesn't... matter.

Good point to bring up, his 6 techs already may be a huge factor in this series if Perkins can't play.

Yes, Perkins' next technical (against the Lakers) will be an automatic 1 game suspension.  And I believe every other tech after that results in a 1 game suspension.

Nope. He would need 2 more techs in order to be suspended again.

Why would Perkins need 2 more techs?

Perk has 6 techs right now, 7th technical is a suspension.

So how many more technicals does Perk need to get suspended?

I don't understand why Frezz says he needs 2 more technicals to be suspended....what am I missing guys?

He need 1 to get suspened. But to get suspended again after that, he would need 2.
7, 9, 11...

His next tech, his 7th, would give him a suspension. After his suspension he would need his 9th to be suspended again. Not his 8th.

Edit: misha is faster than I am. But at least I'm better looking.

Frezz, what did you mean when you said Perk needed 2 more techs to get suspended?

Is it 1 or 2?  Are you saying both 1 and 2?  I'm confused.

Nope. He would need 2 more techs in order to be suspended again.
