Definitly Ray Allen.
KG has alot of hardware, PP was finals MVP 2008. Rondo has all the time in the world. But finals MVP would cement Ray's legacy as one of the greatest shooters ever, brinh him ahead of Reggie Miller, George Gervin, Joe Dumars type of players for some future NBA top 50 or something...It could not happened to nicer guy. If Phil decide to put Kobe on Rondo then Ray should abuse Fish and be a MVP. Your thoughts?

I would agree with you though I wouldn't be terribly upset if Pierce got it again or Rondo got it for the first time. I think it probably will be one of those three unless KG goes absolutely bananas.

If we are wishing I would really hope for Perkins or Davis.  Neither of them have a shot in you know what though.  I agree with Ray Allen.  He is one of those player who I watched a little bit at UConn and didn't get the big deal.  I actually remember thinking that Donyell Marshall was more complete.

I didn't see him much in Milwaukee or Seattle so I always thought he was just a jump shooter and not much else.  And after watching him in "He Got Game" I thought he might be a primadonna slasher like Vince Carter and Tracy McGrady.

I look at him now that I've had the opportunity to see him up close for three years and go WOW.  I had no idea he was THIS good.  Maybe its because he is soft spoken, maybe because he doesn't have the flare that Reggie Miller had, maybe because he doesn't amaze you in the open court like Kobe, but this guy is amazing.

I would love to see him get Finals MVP if the Celtics can pull it out.

I would love to see Ray get it, I thought he deserved it more than Pierce in '08 (or really as much). I think it will be Rondo if we win the championship. Anyway, it will of course depend on the performances of our players in the Finals.

And the most important trophy is the championship but it's true it would be nice to see Ray get the recognition because he is often overlooked/underrated.

I think it's going to be tough for Ray to get it if we win. Nowadays, Ray usually plays well when Rondo plays well. And if Rondo plays well, the Finals MVP would go to Rondo. If Rondo gets it, I wouldn't be surprised if he gave all the credit to the team.

KG this year, Ray next year and Rondo from there on out :o

Actually, KG or Ray would make me very happy, KG for overcoming injury and a whole lot of grief that went with it (blog grief, etc...), and Ray for the grief and the almost getting traded....great story either way....

I doubt it'll be KG because he won't have the scoring numbers but my guess is his offensive contribution, plus his work on Pau will be the difference for us.

KG will not win finals MVP regardless of what numbers he posts if we were to win the finals simply because of how the voting happens.

Take into account just how much negative press he has gotten this year and then ask the very same people to vote for a finals MVP, its going to be Rondo or Pierce simply because its a popularity contest more so than a actual award.

So long as a Celtic wins it, I'm good.  I'll be rooting for Perk, though, because if he dominates, we're not going to lose.

No it is going to be rondo or pierce because they are the best most consistent two way players on our team.

Ray Allen is basically one dimensional at this point. When his shot falls he looks unbelievable when it isnt falling he looks average.

He always has to defend by getting up into his man and depending on help b/c his lateral quickness has lessened and his passing is good off of the curl but atrocious into the post.

We do not win this series if Ray is our best player and I fully expect to win this series. I also fully expect Ray to play his role of assassin perfectly for the majority of the series.

As long as I don't have to puke watching a Laker lift the Bill Russell trophy again anything goes for me. I'll be happy for any Celtic who gets it.

Rondo has the greatest chance I think. He's had a great postseason and received so much attention that unless someone else outplays him by a really wide margin and I can't imagine that happening, he'll have the edge.
