I made the prediction, (on other threads), immediately after the game ended Friday night, that Rondo would be 2010 NBA Finals MVP ... I stand by that prediction.

Do you understand that Rondo is not Westbrook, Williams or Nash? Sure, those 3 are really good, but Rondo is playing in a different league right now. Even your very own Magic Johnson said Rondo is the best all-around PG in the NBA right now! That's like Jordan saying Kobe is the best SG. And add to that, that Rondo has a much better supporting cast than the other teams.

Repeat?? lol Fakers just won their series and Celtics won so this guy predicts they gonna win already. Wow, Westbrook is just learning how to play(Didn't they almost beat them? ****), Williams didn't have that great of a supporting cast(Except a few solid players), Nash played well but Suns are a one dimensional team(Gasol abused them because their not defensive minded like us). So to compare them all to Rondo and saying they won the series is funny to me. I already looking forward to this series, but this guy just made me get more hyped because of these comparisons make me believe Rondo WILL ABUSE and take out the Fakers to claim MVP of the 2010 NBA Finals. Let's Go Celtics!!!!

The key to Rondo may be how well Ray is playing.  I expect that the Lakers will (at least at times) put Kobe on Rondo, meaning that Fisher will guard Ray.  If that's the case, Ray needs to abuse that matchup.

And Ray's play is usually tied with how well Rondo is playing.

If Fisher is on him, I want to run an iso with Ray in which he receives the ball in the midrange, faces up, does a jab fake and just shoots an easy jumper over him.

I don't think there's a need to post him up... he can often get in trouble there when help comes. But a jumper over Fisher with a simple fake should get the job done for him. But he should be able to penetrate also.

How lucky are we to witness one of the greatest rivals going head to head AGAIN in the Finals.
That game 4 comeback fulled my life, no comebacks this playoffs so I think we are bound for one against the Lakers

Keep in mind also that against the Magic, when you have a player penetrate their D, their is no need for the whole D to collapse as Dwight is such a dynamic shot blocker. Therefore, the dish off or kick out options werent always there.

Not a ridiculous statement at all. A scoring threat is not the same thing as being a scorer. Rondo's primary role should always been to keep the offense moving efficiently, not to get to the basket to score himself. If he's scoring all is well, but it shouldn't come at the expense of our offense performing as it should and it shouldn't come at the expense of getting the rest of our guys involved.

The Orlando series worried me because i felt as though the only guy in the league who could give Rondo fits and shut his game down was Dwight Howard. Rondo played well in 4 out of the 6 games against them, which is impressive considering how Dwight has a way of taking away his layups. Now that Dwight is out of the picture, i don't see how the Lakers are going to be able to stop him from finishing at the rim. It's kinda like how i felt after Paul's battle with LeBron. LeBron wore Paul out. Dwight wore Rondo out. But now? Going up against the soft Laker frontline should be significantly easier for him. I think either Rondo or Ray will be finals MVP.
