1. The matchup of Amare Stoudemire against the Boston bigs. This guy could command a double team and then he swings it out to a three point shooter who passes to another three point shooter who kills you. Phoenix executes this better than Orlando.
2. Steve Nash knows what he is doing at PG. That is not to say that Derek Fischer is not a capable PG - he is a good complement to Kobe Bryant.
3. Robin Lopez is a good young center who will be a mainstay in Phoenix for years to come. Andrew Bynum is not that great.
4. The Phoenix bench is awesome - best in the league and they wore down San Antonio, and are wearing on the Lakers, too.
The Celtics had more trouble matching up to the Phoenix Suns than the Los Angelos Lakers during the regular season. But the Celtics current form is way better than the regular season (and it had to be - otherwise our season would have been over).
Looking over the Phoenix bench - Barbosa, Frye, the Boston College kid Dudley, and Dragon backup PG - They seem to keep the Phoenix high octane offense going and they wear you out by playing 110 possession cycles every 48 minutes. Boston would rather keep it at 95 pc's every 48. By my math - if each team ran off the full 24 sec clock everytime, that would by 60 possestion cycles. Miami and New York would play 75 possestion games back in the 90s and you would see some 72-68 beauties.
