Look at the ajustments that Doc Rivers made in the 3rd quater, the Celtics ran 1 play for alot of minutes because Rondo was not able to go as he used to.
That 3rd quarter was all Doc Rivers, had he done nothing then we would have had another "Rondo with the ball, top of the key that does not attack the basket, because he's not healthy" sitiuation, he came up with a plan in the locker room and it worked.
And i think more importently or perhaps most importently during this season with the rise of Rondo, there has been questions regarding "who's the man or who's the leader on this team" but i think Doc Rivers has done a admirable job at going straight down the middle of the team and doing what i think more coaches should do in this league.. take that leadership role and be the guy who everyone turns to in tough spots instead of expecting everyone to have the same leadership capacity as Jordan or Bird.
I dont think its a players league anymore, its been shown time and time again since 2004 and i think the league is better off because of it.
