Interesting article. Not only does he want out, it appears as though he does not even want anything to do with the team. I would much rather have Ray, but if we can't get him back is Hedo an option?

Other Possibilities:

Sign and trade for Gay?
To NJ for Harris and one of their late firsts?

Hmm, I wonder if they'd trade Vince Carter for him.  :P

Hedo acted like a clown in Toronto this season, but honestly, I would have been a lot more concerned if he was on the court over Vince.  The past few seasons, he had been a poor man's Pierce.  This year, they had nobody who could fill that void, and it hurt them.

What a tool. Maybe you shouldn't have weasled out of that verbal agreement you had to go to Portland, huh Hedo?

I don't know.  At least Vince gave Toronto some good years before tanking his last 1 or 2 for them.

I think Portland would have really exposed Hedo for what he is, Dana Barros 2.0.  If you give him the ball for 70% of your possessions he is going to look good.  But when he has to fin in an offensive scheme that involves more than throwing up Hail Mary 3s and hoping Dwight Howard rebounds your almost inevitable miss then you don't look so good hitting only 30-35% of the shots.

He had choices.  He went to the highest bidder.  And now he's not happy?  So much for money buying happiness, but quit complaining, Hedo.  You were smiling when you signed the deal.

He's 31, had a bad season, and with all those free agents available, I doubt if anyone would takle his too big and too long contract.

well if he wants out that badly, I'm sure toronto would agree to a $1.00 buyout. Other than that, it just means hedo wants their money and to go somewhere else.

He knows Bosh is leaving and wants to get back to a playoff team.

Yeah, I think pretty much everyone on the Raptors wants out.

Its funny that of all the BIG free agents everyone knows that Bosh is most likely to be gone (even more so than Joe Johnson who was lighting bridges on fire left and right on his quick trip out of the playoffs).  I was going to start a new thread but decided to just tack this on...

How much longer can Toronto really keep a team?  I love that city, but no one wants to play there because of Canadian taxes and the cold.

As an aside, I do think that in the next CBA, the player salaries should all in "take home dollars," with the league paying player taxes to their states/countries of residence so that a max deal is worth the same in Florida and Boston and LA and Toronto, and 3 mil per year is the same, etc.

Could the NBA even legally do that?  I know they had some sort of agreement with China when Yao Ming first came over.

I sure hope he like's New York or Washington because going to NY with Jose Calderon for Eddie Curry and Wilson Chandler or to DC for with Bargnani for Arenas and McGee are the only places deperate enough that I could see that would trade with Toronto for those bloated horrible contracts.

When Bosh leaves, Hedo has a chance to be "the man" in Toronto. He will be the number one option on a bad team. But I'm not so sure he is concerned about putting up good numbers anymore after signing that contract last offseason; I think he's more concerned with getting back on a winning team, but all the winning teams are looking at guys like Wade, Lebron and Bosh.

I'ld take Hedo in Boston the trade would have to be something like

Boston sends Rasheed Wallace and a signed and traded Marquis Daniels

Toronto sends Hedo Turkoglu and $35 million

Not sure the league would approve that, LOL.
